I honestly have never lost in a story battle that I remember... I learned early in pokemon it was the most basic form of RPG. If you power level the game has no challenge at all. It's one of those games anyone can truly beat.

If I did lose ever it was to Red at the end of Silver. I can't remember if he ever beat me though.

My first loss was to Team Rockets Male Grunt in Pokemon Stadium 2. I was undefeated up until that point.....

I was devastated and frustrated because it wasn't only once that he beat me. It was over and over and over again. I like to play games fairly...but I had no choice...I went on Youtube, and watched a walk through to see what kinds of Pokemon and attacks were used to beat him. Sure enough...after watching it, I won!!!

my first loss is in pokemon fire red when i got to misty since my pokemon was charmander water>fire so i lost

My first loss was actually against Mewtwo in Pokemon Stadium 1. Using a Pokemon Blue Mewtwo from the obvious Missingono glitch, despite him being only a level 45 Mewtwo, I managed to beat him, but not without losing a few times. Also because Psychic can lower both of those by one stage if you're lucky, in the end, he was only able to do 28 damage to me. It was a extremely long fight though, but I was determined to win with my low level Mewtwo.

My first loss was when I was against Drake in Pokemon Sapphire when I was about 5. The only reason I lost was because I didn't have a good understanding of the game, and my Blaziken was the only strong Pokemon I had. (Lv. 77)

Misty was fish fry, though, 'cuz I had Thunderbolt because of the power-leveling.

My first loss was in fire-red when I had no idea of what I was doing and somehow beat most of the bosses and lost to one once the fact that I had two pokemon and the other guy had a ton finally killed me when one was paralyzed and the other was out of health. My first loss was against Red in Crystal. But that was understandable since all of my Pokemon were over 20 levels under. It wasn't too bad, but I did manage to knock out 4 of Red's Pokemon.

Being only 6 at the time I had no understanding of the game. So once I got to Brock I got destroyed. But after grinding my Charmander it evolved into Charmeleon and learned Metal Claw. Geodude and Onix were down in one hit.
