I got the gift of speaking tongues and being able to listen to people and praying over them and giving them comfortness so if their is something that u want to share make sure u put it in here thanks meghan

"speaking tongues" is the ability to speak to people who don't speak the same language as you. As of the moment, I can't remember its counterpart; for understanding something said in another language.

The gift of "speaking tongues" has all but vanished. It's now one of the most uncommon gifts as of the day... but not unheard of. It can however be archived through hard work, patience and belief; which is also very unlikely to end up what happens.

If you're meant to speak to someone about Christ who has no understanding of the English language, You'd be "speaking tongues"; and its only temporary, it wouldn't last though the week... if that long.

To recap, there are three ways you can get the gift.
1: You're born with the gift; It doesn't happen anymore.
2: It can be learned though hard work; this takes too long, and you'd give up before you reached you're goal.
3: When its given, its only temporary and usually doesn't last more then a day or two.

Actually its in the bible its in Exodus read the book of Exodus it tells you all the gifts you can recieve as you grow with Christ himself. I became a christian 5 yrs ago and i am still to this day. How many of you guys know Chaos Force T? I know him cause i dated him and i really miss him with all the times we had together. The reason we broke up was some strange things were happening and neither of each other really wanted to deal with each others problems so we split. I wish he would talk to me and accept my apology and begin a new friendship together but i guess he wont accept me and my apology. I wish i could tell him to his face once that i am totally different now then i was when i dated him. He was my first boyfriend and i had no clue how to act around a guy beside act like one of his friends so PAUL if u read this i am truly sorry for everything i had put you through and everything we have been through from this day i want to be friends and able to talk again and be friends that would be really cool if we could hangout and talk thanks meghan (ex-girlfriend ) ChaosforceT

Here is what I know about it

It can be a personal prayer language, meant for you and god.

It can be a testament too nonbelievers.

God can use tounges to speak through us, one person will get the message, and then another brother should get the interpretation.

My points are from longs days of study. My post would have much longer if I had gone deeper in explanation. Need I apologetics for being very open minded?
