The site was DoS attacked on Thursday. I've spent many hours trying to get the site back up and implementing more security. No files were lost and no personal information was stolen. However, it might be a little longer before all of everyone is able to access the site. I thank you all for your patience and I apologize for vizzed being down, this will probably do some damage to vizzed search engine rankings and traffic and overall will have costed me $100s so for those who want to help out, tell your friends about the site, advertise the site on other sites or donate.

I ended up migrating to a new server, I figured if the site is going to be down, I might as well make something good out of the situation and migrating to a better server would require down time anyway. So the site is on the new server and the new server is a bit better than the previous, it should be faster and should be able to handle more users. All of the files have already transferred except RGR Plugin save files and screenshots taken with the RGR Plugin, those should be finished transferring sometime on Saturday.

I highly recommend you guys favorite vizzed on facebook, that's where I announce stuff when the site is down and keep everyone informed:

Ah....a blessing in disguise. At least that's over and done with. PHEW. The new server is working well...not a single error or lag this entire time.

Hey guys! I seem to have problems saving pokemon blue & silver (so far)... After saving the game, I reopen the page but it keeps going back to where I stopped and saved a few days back. Well, the thing is I usually have no trouble saving/loading the game.

So I was wondering if this has anything to do with the server or something?

apoopcup : Well if it's never happened to you before, then perhaps it does have something to do with the switch of servers. Don't take my word for it...just an educated guess.

Yeah, the Facebook thing. I think I should probably do that so I know what's going on. I was wondering why Vizzed was down. The thought had crossed my mind that it was attacked, but I was thinking the server was just down or something.

Actually, to me it's been a little bit slower. I guess it's because everything before was on cache; now that we're on a new server my cache was probably wiped.

Otherwise, everything else is working fine.

apoopcup : Save files made in the past 24 hours may have been lost due to the transfer.

the_casualty : Some reason it's slower but it's a different issue. The CPU usage on the server is very low and if you look at the bottom of the page to see how long it takes for the pages to render, that number is low as well. So this leaves me to assume the bandwidth is slow for some reason.

You already folk out enough money as it is to keep the site going at it's best without some ***** making you spend more.. at least it's back up and running anyway.

yeah, I it seems the general consensus is that the site is slower. I go anywhere else and the site loads right away but here it's really bad.

rote : How many times have you tried saving it? What was the exact error you got?

not sure what changed overnight but I am going just as fast today as I was before the site went down. Whatever you did must have fixed it.
