I recently had $10 on my debit card to burn and decided to go to the Wii Shop Channel. Something caught my eye almost immediately: Super Mario RPG on the virtual console.
I bought it without hesitation. I know what I'm doing this weekend while PSN is down! Nostalgia time. Has anyone else played this--or Paper Mario (originally titled Super Mario RPG 2)? I love the Mario RPG games. They're so much fun.

SMRPG is a great game, still have the music from the forest stuck in my head. Paper Mario was fun, if a bit boring at times. The best imo is Paper Mario 2.

I love SMRPG, I have it on the VC too, though I haven't played it recently. I've also played all the Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi RPG games too. I'm also really looking forward to Paper Mario on the 3DS. |

I've never played SMRPG, but I have seen many videos of it and it looks like a great RPG. I love how it's the grand predecessor to all the Mario RPG games like Paper Mario and Superstar Saga. -------------------- |

I saw my cousin play Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars but I wanted to play it for it's cool battles and music and that main battle theme music is my favorite. But I really played Paper Mario on the Wii and why I bought it because I saw my cousin had it for the 64 so I decided to get it from the shop channel. I passed the game twice but I hate it when you finish it you can't start over with your current level in battling the bosses all over again but what I was left with was just an endless The End. -------------------- |

I love Super Mario RPG and the Paper Mario games. I never got to own Super Mario RPG for the Super Nintendo, but I'll eventually get a copy off of eBay (the cheapest I've seen one go for in a while was $25). I rented it a couple times as a kid, but for some reason could never get a copy of it.
As far as the Paper Mario games, I don't have the Nintendo 64 version (although I played it a LOT) but I have Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door for the Gamecube, and Super Paper Mario for the Wii (one of my first Wii games). I really can't wait for Paper Mario to come out for the 3DS.

I love Super Mario RPG. It's a great game. Never gets old.

I love it but i have bad Memories of it
I played it when i was around 11 first rom i ever played(that and earthbond)i got halfway though it maybe even further...save wipe...this happened 3 times on 3 different playthoughs so i bought it on Wii VC...i got another save wipe
