I was surprised recently by a anime called "Yu Yu Hakusho".

The story was off-beat,
and did exactly what you would expect from a tv show, entertained.

It had depth too, very little was wasted in the story,
and wasn't drawn out as bad as some other animes.

But that was season one I was talking about, season two had gone full-throttle, and was by far the best the show had to offer.
I had seen the dubbed version only, and the translated dialog fared well.
