I would be amazed if anyone actually believed in zombies.
I sorta believe in ghosts, I have had a few experiences where it could've been a ghost, but I'm still not sure what happened.

The universe is vast but is made up of mainly heat sources and rocks its very rare to find lifeforms although Stephen Hawking had a theory on dimensions where there are over 12 dimensions each contain the same thing but with subtle differences, it sounds far-fetched but so did the Earth being round back in the day. I do believe that they're may be other life in the form of living single celled molecules and such and as for the dimension theory maybe we'll meet an alien from another one.

Zombies on the other hand I would love to believe in but unfortunatley i don' think it'll come true unless scientists specifically try to create a drug to turn people into the slow paced, cannablistic zombies we know today. The idea of a zombie apocalypse intrigues me. I know people dying and being hurt by this is wrong but i would still lvoe a zombie invasion just to see how I'd fare. It'd be scary at first but ive got mah plan!

and that is what i think of alien and zombies

Well I definitely believe in aliens. I figure if we're here, then there are probably other life forms out there too. We can't just be a happy accident with how huge the universe is.

Now as for the whole zombie thing, it could be possible if there was a virus of some sort that could shut down higher brain function, while keeping the more vital brain function alive. The tv show The Walking Dead is where I got this idea from and it's kinda plausible if such a disease ever could possibly exist, but I really don't see that ever happening.

I believe that there is life on other planets (not in our solar system) for one main reason other than the universe is too big. We know that there are more starts than we can count, many of which have their own planets and moons. Those planets were formed no different than the planets in our own solar system. How they form all depends on the distance from the star they orbit, the type of star it is, and what kind of material was available around the area to form. Regardless, it is the same method of formation. I find it difficult to believe that our of the billions of billions of planets that have formed using the same methods and patterns that the planets in our own solar system formed, our planet is the ONLY one that had the right elements and conditions to form the first tiny forms of life and develop further. It is just not likely. However, I don't believe that aliens would be so specifically interested in Earth that they need to invade it like popular belief. So many people claim to have seen aliens, spacecrafts, or been abducted. Honestly, I think that our one planet out of the billions would not get such secretive prolonged attention. That is just us thinking we are such important life forms.

As for zombies, no matter what type of zombies you are talking about (somewhat possessed and risen from the dead or infection), I don't believe in them. The more believable one is the possessed thing because that means that their bodies are moving due to supernatural forces. The infection zombie can't exist. Annette gave one example of homeostasis (which is your body's systems working together to perform actions) to show that it cannot happen. Just to give examples of this: without blood flow, the blood can't become oxidized to provide oxygen to the muscles, which is one thing necessary for muscle movement. Also, goes without saying, a lot of zombies are shown as drained of all blood due to unhealed injuries, so it's the same idea as no blood flow. Next, if their organs are not working, they aren't digesting all the meat they consume, so why are they always hungry? Their stomachs would burst from all the food staying there or it would eventually start piling up their esophagus to their mouth.

Annette : You are the first person I ever heard who used homeostasis to disprove the possibility of the infection type zombie. Nice one.

I believe in aliens, and zombies. Real zombies are classified as humans with a strain of disease similar to mad cow disease.

Aliens: Yes, definitely. This universe is so large that the mere idea that we're the only living creatures in it sounds insane.

Zombies: Alright, here's where the writing begins. I believe in zombies. Not in the sense that they are literally risen from the dead. That's insane. But the idea of a widespread infection that turns people into "zombies" makes sense. Viruses evolve just as humans, though viruses evolve at a much faster rate than humans. Because of this, we could easily be at risk for any sort of infection. Something as simple as a common cold could evolve into this super-virus. That of course seems unlikely, but not impossible. Of course, the time it would take for a virus to evolve to such an insanely powerful infection like that would be, well, very long. So in short, yes, it's possible for infections to occur, but no literal zombies in the risen from the dead sense.

Aliens might be real because the universe is so vast that there are many places that mankind hasn't explored yet. I don't think zombies are real because if they are how would the undead be able to break out of coffins and dig them selves out of a 5-7 ft hole.

Do I believe in Aliens? Yes.

Why do I believe in Aliens? Well, I don't think that we have such a huge universe for only humans to live on. I mean earth is such a small planet and why would there be other planets if there wasn't other forms of life out there. Doesn't make any sense to me. I don't think that they're harmful to us. I mean, after all these years, if they wanted us dead and gone, I am sure they would have done it by now. Yes they may be curious about us, but look at mankind, they're curious about it too.

Do I believe in Zombies? No!

Why don't I believe in Zombies? I have never witnessed a Zombie. I have seen UFO's, well what I believe to be UFO's, but I have never encountered a Zombie and I am sure I never will. I just think it is something mankind uses as a form of entertainment. I don't think they're real.

I don't think zombies are possible, at least not the way that they're portrayed in movies and video games. Just the concept of a living dead that want to eat nothing but brains is pretty absurd.

I do believe in aliens, though not the kind you'd normally imagine. Just think about it. There are billions of stars in the universe, many of them with possible planets that can be inhabited. It just takes another one of these planets to get the combination right to make life. It may be a while before we have contact with them, but I think it's very possible for life to exist elsewhere besides our home planet of Earth.

No I do not believe in Zombies, But surely in Aliens, simply because we have not explored the universe so there is a probability(whatever high or low) that there maybe a living form.

I believe that Aliens are real somewhere in Space in a different galaxy that no human being has even discovered yet! I just get the strange feeling that they do exist. I think that in 100 years also that Aliens will invade Earth in a U.F.O and suck up everything... probably not though.

*Puts on a lab coat and glasses* From a scientific point of view, I would say that it is possible that somewhere in the ever-expanding reaches of the universe, aliens may exist. This is a separate topic, but I don't believe that there will ever be aliens to invade the earth. We've been searching for aliens for the longest time and I think that if there were any nearby, we would have found them by now. If the aliens were sentient, I don't think the first thing they would think is, "We'd better hide of aliens from planets like Earth just in case they see us!"  and if they somehow exhausted all of their planet's resources, I don't think the first thing they would say is, "We'd better go to Earth and go get some more!". Considering that there likely aren't any aliens even remotely close to us, even if they somehow decided to drain our resources, they would have to travel for YEARS just to make a single trip over here and they would probably all be dead long before they reach us. And considering how much we've polluted our own resources, I think they would just brush us off and look for a planet with life forms that don't pollute their own planet or a planet that doesn't have life forms all together. *Ahem* Anyways back onto the topic of Zombies. I believe that zombies are impossible. They simply can't exist. If a corpse was somehow given life, it would die instantly because the corpse has already eroded and can no longer support life. It would probably break very easily and since the brain is probably eroded, it wouldn't be able to send messages to the parts of the body telling them to move.  If somehow a corpse did come alive, it would just lay there in the exact position it was before it was alive because the corpse isn't functional anymore and it wouldn't do anything. It may as well just be a corpse. If they somehow could walk, then I doubt the first thing they would do is search for humans to eat their brains. They would probably wander around aimlessly. Since their digestive systems don't work anymore, they would have a need to eat. They would obviously be blind, deaf, and without feeling or taste or smell. The only way they would have an objective that they could follow is if there was magic involved. But then you would have to go into believing in sorcerers and magic and such.  I think the closest thing that we will ever have to zombies are stoners who are so high that they cant speak and they have the munchies which might be mistaken for a hunger for brains if you are also high or just plain stupid. *Takes off lab coat and glasses* ...."What was I just talking about?"

I do not believe there are life forms living beyond this planet. This belief actually comes from personal observation of the Bible. God created all creatures that walk on the ground, swim in the sea, and fly in the sky. He put them all on this rock we call home. If there are aliens anywhere in this universe they would need a planet that somehow supports life similar to how the Earth supports life for us.

As for zombies, the closest thing I would believe to be a zombie would be how Choko described --someone who has lost a pulse and, technically speaking, died but was revived again. But the possibility that humans can come back to life after truly dying a physical death, and possibly decomposing for a while, is beyond what I believe. As a Christian, I believe everyone dies one physical death and that's that.
