I can't decide which is better. I think they are both really good and both have unique styles. Someone help me decide!

Hmmmm, I would say Mortal Kombat. I don't know why, I just enjoyed the MK games more than SF, especially SF4. I can't wait for MK 9, but I don't see myself picking up the next SF. MK seems more realistic in some ways, but that doesn't mean it IS realistic, just more so than SF.

Well i8 do like them both but do to the new mortal kombat being awsome i have to go with it. The 3ds street fighter is fun thogh.

Ah Man! I happen to be a fan of both Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. I'd prefer playing the Mortal Kombat games because there's a variety to choose from.

Also, the Mortal Kombat movie's were much better written and choreographed than the Street Fighter movie's. I vote Mortal Kombat.

This is a huge comparison, because they're both clones of each other, with Street Fighter being first.

I have quite a few Street Fighter games (SSFII, SSFIV3D, SSFIIIAM), and a few Mortal Kombat games (MK, MKII, MKMZ) and all together, Mortal Kombat is better, because of the fatalities, characters, and relentless hardness.

That's a really tough question,there both good.

Both games are great, but I prefer Mortal Kombat over Street Fighter, because Mortal Kombat just kicks butt. The gore and the fatalities is awesome. Piercing the chest of your enemies and yank them to you to add on the combo (Scorpion) That is sweet.

In terms of a storyline MK would be my choice. All the characters are grouped together in some way in the classic good vs bad, with just about having their own agendas in mind. I've only seen someone play MK9 but from what I saw it seemed to have a great story. Each character was incorporated into something, working for one side. The universe of that series in general seems to expand with each new game. There is usually more character development and in-depth backgrounds for most of them.

In Street Fighter, most of the characters are fighting just for the hell of it. The only real conflict deals with Bison's goal of world domination, with only a few characters trying to stop him. That series really isn't about a plot. I can say it's pretty similar to the Armored Core series in that aspect where you progressively complete mission but the games have absolutely no plot until the very end. And that's fine for people who really don't care and play it just to play. Both series are outstanding, but when simply fighting becomes boring, it's good to have a little plot action going.

I love MK because that's what I play when I'm at the arcades. :p
