you all know sonic the hedgehog he is a blue hedgehog that runs fast but not no more it look likes sega dont know how to make a sonic game no more now if you is a sonic fan u played all the games so u played sonic unleashed sonic turns in to a wolf a slow wolf now why will a wolf be slow sonic is fast not slow ok now for the next game sonic and the secret rings sonic is fast but the game is just so bad the controls is just bad when i say bad i mean bad how can u make bad controls on a sonic game now for the next one sonic 06 yeah the game is good i like it but it has to many loading times like come on all it do is load now the last one sonic and the black knight this game is just bad make me want to kill myself why does he have a sword like i said sonic runs that is all now sega u better make a good sonic game this is when i dont like sonic who agrees

Sonic was great as a 2D game. Problem is, Sega never worked out a good way to translate it into 3D. And until they do, we're never going to have games anywhere near as good as the originals ever again.

I did enjoy the early 3D games, ones of note are the Sonic Adventure games. Bring on the 3rd! But yeah although 2D side scrollers of those times are hard for me and I always give up, therefore maybe not liking them I do think they were good.

Yesh I totatlly agree that they have been ruining sonic! Like why the hell did they have to make sonic into a werehog? & I never played Sonic where he is a knight but it does seem really stupid as well! Sonic games for Sega Genesis is definitly the most awesome! But I do like this 3D sonic called Sonic Heroes! But they definitly should make sonic the way they use to in a 2D & not 3D!

It is pretty unfortunate..Even i have to admit that some of these games have been pretty..outlandish and haven't really fit into who sonic is as a character. Unleashed would have been just fine without the whole wherehog thing. Sonic 06 was just slow..and honestly it got pretty creepy around that princess chick..

Then again, perhaps Sega is just trying to appeal to newer audiences..because i already know the die hard fans hate most of the new 3d stuff. They went into the right direction with Sonic Colors though.. so don't lose hope

Sonic is alright in the 2D where it started, but in 3D, its kinda getting low, but most 3D games are alright with me, I think Sonic Generations should be really good for Sonic's image.

Back when Sonic was 2D, he was actually able to compete with Mario. To be honest, when I was a kid, I played a lot more Sonic than Mario because I just loved played Sonic 1-3(and Knuckles)

When he came into 3D, I didn't really have much of a problem with Sonic Adventure 2 and what not. Then it started to slowly get worse and worse until Shadow the Hedgehog and on. It was pretty bad from there >.<

But, it looks like Sonic's making a comeback with Sonic 4 and Sonic Colors. Sonic Generations looks great too. I'm excited to see how they hold up now.

I think the creators are just trying to get too creative with their mechanics, but don't realize that it was the game's roots that made it popular. Fortunately, I think they realize that with Sonic Colors and Generations, and they're going to return to the hedgehog's roots. I like both the 3D and 2D games, although I've only played three 3D games. Secret Rings is okay but the controls stink, Sonic 06 is a good game and it's way underrated, and SA2 is a good game as well. However, the 2D games are also very good.

The very last Sonic game I really enjoyed was Sonic Adventure 2. I have the game in its entirety, and the Dreamcast it goes with, right here in my room. Every Sonic game I've played after that just makes me wish I hadn't. Sonic just about died when Sega died as a hardware company. He's been kept barely alive, on life support, by Sega ever since.

I think the only reason why Sonic has any popularity today is for the original Genesis games. After that, people just bought games because they recognized sonic. "Oh look its that blue hedgehog let's buy it" "This game sucks"

They decided they liked 3D over 2D, they decided to make the story a bit more complex for each game, and much more.
If you ask me, Sonic is just getting better, but we're stuck in the age of simplicity for his games, causing some people to not like the newer games much.

I only play the earlier sonic games for the sega genesis, but yeah I have heard that the newer sonic games kinda stink. I still like sonic, but I think we will probably never see a good sonic game for a good while (sigh) oh well at least we still have mario... I think.
