hello everyone,

a new acquaintance of mine has had a biopsy done recently, and will now be needing to go in to be tested for cancer.
i wanted to ask that you would stand in Agreement with me for a total and complete Healing for the person, and a clean bill of health report from the doctors.
i am standing on the Promise that Christ gave us in Matthew 18:19+20 that this Prayer will be answered by the Lord, in Jesus Name.
Thank you for standing in Faith with me on this matter and Praying for this person.


Matthew 18

19"Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.
20"For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst."

I believe that if it is God's will, then it will be done. And all things will be used by Him.

I hope that God answers this prayer for your friend. My prayer is that he is healthy and fit, in Jesus' name, amen.

Well... I don't really follow that faith, but I will light a candle and send all the positive energy I can your way. Same as prayer.

Here is the verse in its context.

"If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them." (Matthew 18:15-20)

The verse is talking about a brother sinning against you, and that one should have 2 or 3 witnesses to establish the claim if the brother does not listen. It is not saying that anyone who agrees with another person, the task will be fulfilled. If it is God's will that these things that we ask are fulfilled, then it will be done, but it is not fulfilled based on whether we agree with each other or not.

Even so, I will still pray for your friend.

Although the verse was probably taken out of context...and I may be mistaken about this, I'm pretty sure we are encouraged to affirm others prayers because it supports people who would otherwise be alone in their prayers. Something about a 3-fold cord...

I will pray, also pray for my cousin, she has been diagnosed with 6 months to live because of her cancer.

The context of Matthew 18:19,20 is according to verses 15-17 -- however, I've heard that before that where 2 or more will pray--that God will hear them, and I've always wondered about it because it's not like God is a genie that will hear a prayer with the predication of a certain number in agreement so to speak, but I think v.19 & 20 can be rendered with a separate Christian-life application as:

The sincere agreement of 2 or more filled with the Holy Spirit is more powerful than the superficial agreement of thousands, because they being filled with the Holy Spirit will pray according to God's will, not their own; and thus their prayers will be granted (if it is according to His will).

Oh, and that threefold cord passage Ecclesiastes 4:12 I think is referring to the benefits of having Christian friends, rather than isolation.

tRIUNE : Agreed with what you said...to clarify I meant that when Christians bond together it's a good thing for all of them.
