...That isn't very violent...and to this day I think nintendo are idiots for banning that episode. Also, I can see why the whiscash episode was banned, imagine if they aired it now

Yeah, it's just over sensitivity. Just like James' breast implants, Porygon, Jynx, and the other time the Zookeeper held a gun to Ash's face.

That wasn't too violent, but I can see why they wouldn't want it aired among Saturday morning cartoons. At another point in that episode, that same guy was shooting at Team Rocket.

This controversial episode was banned in all countries outside of Asia, largely due the pervasive use of profanity (which, however, can be dubbed over) and firearms, which are pointed at Ash and Kaiser and fired at Jessie, James, and Meowth. Even though the scenes where Kaiser threatens Ash, Misty and Brock with his guns were intended for comic effect, the American censors still found this offensive.

I think other than a few eps, most of them shouldn't have been banned, but this one... eh, I'm not too worried.

It was profane, but like BNuge said... it can just be dubbed over...

Anyways, Pokemon isnt really that violent.

yeah, I guessed from his voice. I mean, yeah, it WAS funny. I seriously did laugh and cry. maybe.

But the animations WERE bad. All he did was lipsync the mouth basically and light things on fire xD

I would like to see him make that from flash though, that would be entertaining.

I agree this was a violent episode in terms of human standards but then again look at it this way. Every episode is technically violent in the form of Pokemon Attack.

Using slash to create gashes in a body.

Flamethrower to severely burn something.

Body Slam to crush someone beneath you.

It's all a matter of perspective

This was one of the banned episodes the other three are:

1: "Beauty and the beach". James made fake breasts so he could enter the contest. That, I can understand why it got banned.

2: The Porygon one (doesn't have a real name). Flashing when Pikachu hit team rocket's missiles caused some kids in Japan to have seizures. I can understand that too.

3: "Holiday Hi-Jynx" People thought the portrayal of Jynx was a stereotype, so after it aired in America it was banned.

4+5: "The Tower of Terror","Tentacool and Tentacruel" the first one was banned because it was after 9/11, (the name sounds suggestive) and Tentacool and Tentacruel was banned because Tentacruel was destroying buildings, and it was aired after 9/11. I don't understand why they banned Tentacool and Tentacruel, because it shows Tentacruel destroying a building in the opening.

i remember watching like one of the banned episodes but i never saw the others.
I guess i know why now.
