clones having souls now or ever sounds impossible. only natural born living creatures have souls so i highly doubt that will ever happen. clones are basically like robots, not humanly at all.

I am not Christian but I don't see why they wouldn't have a soul. They have their own unique consciousness, their own body and life, their own individual "selves" within them. I don't see why they wouldn't have a soul.

No, but they will be able to feel emotion. A soul is a unique thing, that only one of can and will exist per person. You can artifically create a man. But you cannot create a soul. That's one of the greater mysteries in life.

Im not too sure but i think it would not ahve a soul because we as humans cannot clone souls! But if a cloned animal doesn't have a soul, then it can't go to heaven or hell right? So say years from now we successfully cloned a human and that clone was on earth when Jesus came down to earth for the believers, what is going to happen to the clone? Cause it's not really the clones fault it doesn't have a soul? Is it??? And anyway if you don't have a soul it would not be possible to go to hell... I think. So what would happen to it????

I don't see why they would not. A clone will not be a carbon copy of another person... I mean, genetically they would be, but a person is not the sum of their genetic code. They would have unique experiences that would shape their personalities and that is what makes a soul, a unique consciousness. It might be similar to the source person... but they would be an individual.

I would have to say that maybe it will have one. Im not 100% positive but im guessing they will.

According to the Bible, God is the only one who rightfully exercises sovereign control over human life. To attempt human cloning is to place oneself in God's position -- if it were ever successful I'd be somewhat puzzled because the Bibles states that "God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them" (Genesis 1:27); with that, human cloning would be a creation in the image of the human, not in the image of God.

Nevertheless, Genesis 2:7 says, "God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being." That's the description of God creating a living, human soul. Souls are what we are, not what we have.

I think the question that's more fitting is, "What kind of living soul would the clone have?" The clone would be just as much as a human being, but personally, I can't conlclude if the soul would be eternal.

I believe that they will have souls. It's not their fault that they were created! if they have a consciousness, and emotions, then they must have a soul.
