Has anyone hear ever felt like a TRUE connection with someone that you've never ever felt before? I never thought I could have that with anyone. I doubt this guy will ever see me in that light, but to even just have him as a friend, makes me happy. I'd rather have him as a friend, that not at all!

I currently feel that way with one person and she does with me. We started out as friends, in fact I've known her since I was like 10 (16 now) and We've been dating steadily for 1 and a quarter years. Being friends first is a great way for you guys to get to know each other. There's always a possibility that he could see how amazing you are or how you feel about him and everything. All I can say is being a friend can show the person how kind and caring you are. He will think if you're this nice, compassionate etc. when we're friends that how will she be when we're dating? It's always a good idea to be friends first in my opinion. Good luck and God bless!!!

SunflowerGaming : It happens sometimes… Sometimes the best connection you can have to someone starts based on common interest or similarities in you’re make ups like principals or similar things that you may have gone through during the course of your life.

Sometimes it can be a little different. Sometimes you can come across someone whom by all outward appearances may not connect with you in the slightest bit yet you may find out later on maybe even years later that you and this person have far more in common then you realized or may not have been willing to admit.

I have come across both scenarios a couple of times in my life… As I have gotten older though I don’t really read much into it from the outset. When I was younger I thought when I came across a girl whom either shared similar interests or someone who’s personally meshed well with mine that it would lead to something. It’s not always the case but I’d like to think and hope that whomever I’ve come across I left a genuinely good impression on whether things were good or bad for me personally.

Anyway to answer your question, yes this has happened to be quite a few times with unknown random people over the internet that I've known for years but have never met in real life. I go on a chat client called "pal talk" where I met a user named "Angel Dust" ... I've known her (on the internet) for about 6 years....we instantly clicked, exchanged phone numbers and still talk to this day. The funny thing about it is, we don't know what each other looks like.

Oh thanks. Yeah that's cool. I have some friends I met over the internet when I was 17, and still talk to each other. It's nice to be able to find people you connect with.

SunflowerGaming : Hope is a great thing… It can keep a person going even when things look so bleak. It can seem to some people like it is more like wishful thinking and modest but for those who go through hard times and use their hope to cope and pick themselves up it is a good thing to have.

Definitely! Hope is something no one can take from you. And it can get you through the tough times. I absolutely agree with you.

Yes, me and one of my old best friends haley used to be real close but for some odd reason we just stop hangingout I dont know why

That's too bad. Back in HS, I had this guy friend, he was like my best friend. Now he won't even acknowledge my existence. And I have NO idea why.

I had a friend that faded away... I'm kind of happy that he did though. He wasn't all that nice and he is the one "friend" that completely changed after puberty... We still see each other occasionally though.

Yeah, sounds like my friend. He changed after hanging around the snobby people.

Unfotunately I never have because I have never put my self out there, or let anyone get to know that well. All through high school i was very reserved and an introvert.

Yeah I have one good friend that I feel as such.....very different personality. And I have seen more but can't eventually be friends with all of them.

I have felt that way before and it is very hard to feel that way for a long time. Though I did something about it and it all turned out great. Though it is over now.

I still haven't felt that connection with anyone yet. I'm hoping that someday, out of all these people around me, I'll find that person.
