I have a DS Lite, and the only one, around for about three, four...five years? About that. It's on the verge of the top screen getting ripped apart because its been used so much, wearing down and soon just breaks.

I know people that actually ripped the tops apart of them once they've noticed that it was wearing down a bit! I call that a waste. Since a year or two ago this has happened, I chose to save it as much as I can without destroying it early. And it still works. (Surprise, Surprise.)

I still have the first DS, I have the Metroid prime hunters demo to prove it! My sister has the DS lite and my father has already finished preordering the 3DS for me. Late birthday presents usually rock! I never really bought any other versions because all I wanted was to play good games. When the DSi XL came out I already knew about the 3DS, so there was no use in buying one.

I've had the original DS since it came out (I think I got it around 4-6 months after it was released) and still have it now. My cousin (who loves buying stuff then immediately trading it away thus losing money) bought one a few months after I did then sold it, then he bought a DS Lite and he was about to trade it away too so I offered him $50 for it and he agreed. So now I've got two; been thinking about trading away my original one but for some reason I never like to get rid of my electronics like that unless they're completely busted and not working.
