Which game system do you have? Which game system do you like better? ps3 or xbox 360? And tell me why you like that game system better.

I don't own either console, but I would say that PS3 is better because it has better gameplay in its games in my opinion compared to the 360's gameplay.

360 has  much more chance of getting red ring of death rather than PS3 getting the yellow button. And in gameplay and graphics the PS3 beats the XBox 360 in many ways. So I would say that PS3 is superior to the XBox

I own both and I like Xbox360  more than PS3 because I just think the game play graphics are better in my opinion.

PS3 beats the Xbox 360 in so many ways I don't even feel like listing them. Graphics, game choices, online features, the list goes on.

I own a PS3. I choose PS3 over Xbox because of its superior graphics and free online game play. Although the costs for PS3 are more expensive than the Xbox so that's annoying.

I own a PS3 so my choice of which is better would have to be the PS3. Reason being is that I like GoW and Resistance games. Don't get me wrong though Xbox360 has it's share of spectacular exclusives I just like the PS3 better.

The fact I had both(gave away xbox) and played bolth alot I like my ps3 better I swaer Ive play a total of a month on there and its still good but my xbox I heard from my freind died the next week

Xbox 360 is better because...

Trollish version: It's not made by Sony.

Not-so-trollish version: The PS3 has almost no good exclusive games, it's more of a multimedia system than a gaming console, THE PLAYSTATION NETWORK HACK (yeah, I went there), and it's made by Sony, which is my least favorite video game company for several reasons (the main one being how often they bash and then immediately rip off other companies).

Hyperstar96 : Sony doesn't really have a right to make systems, they STOLE the PS1 from Nintendo's trash can.

In all seriousness, I own all three systems, but PS3 is really a downgraded 360. It downloads so much slower than 360, 360 games update in seconds, not minutes, and full version games download in minutes, not HOURS. The only real advantages to the PS3 over 360 are the Blu-ray drive (I own zero blu-ray discs, but it makes all my DVDs play in HD, the 360 can't do that) and the games on PS3 that are not on 360 (a.k.a. exclusives) like inFAMOUS and Little big planet.

Hyperstar96 : the ps3 has about 20 less exclusives than the 360 and to be honest i think the 360 has less good ones.as for the ps3 being a multimedia system:based on what?the ps3 has better hardware and inbuilt motion sensors in the controller.thats the mark of a gaming console.
A 1 time hack that took place 5 years after launch and was permanently fixed is no mark of a bad console,the 360 has huge breakdown rates which i would say is far worse,during the hack you could at least use offline.
As for riping off companies, 1 word:
Kinect.
That is blatantly riping off the wii.
Toad 004 : er,what?that makes no sense,and id direct you to my last point.
And really,considering the ps3 has almost every feature of the 360 and more,there is no sense in claiming ps3 is downgraded.

Other features that make me prefer ps3 are:
Free online,
Internet access,
Like,6 times the disk storage space,
Wireless,rechargable controllers,no batterys,(cough*xbox*cough)
Sixaxis,(motion controller)
Less breakdowns,
You can use non maker brand stuff like harddrives,headsets etc,(xbox only supports microsoft stuff cuz they are money grabbers)
Better customer support,
Better graphics,
It looks supa sexy,
More free stuff on the store,
Access to multiple movie sites,
No bans for people swearing etc,(getting banned for swearing on an 18 game is STUPID)
You can download videos,pictures,themes and songs direct from most sites.
I could go on.

gamernate : Xbox 360. It always seemed better, I don't know why. Maybe one of the reasons is that with PS3, 95% of the games are FPS's, and Playstation Move is a DIRECT "comption" to Wii. Xbox 360 has more than FPS's (i.e. Megaman 9, Xbox Arcade) and Kinect may not be the better motion control system, but it's unique.

"free online" - Free online is part of the network, not the system itself. There's also the fact that PSN is far more likely to have issues than Xbox Live. Sure, you'll save $1 a month (really, you didn't pay full price, did you?). Yay, one more fast food meal per year. Also, *cough psn+*
"Internet access" - Do you mean, a web browser? Seriously? You'd rather use that PS3 browser that crashes every third page than use I don't know... A COMPUTER?!
"6 times the space" - FLAT OUT FALSE. The biggest PS3's drive is 320 GB, not even twice the size of the 360's 250 GB. But anything over 120 is far more than you'd ever need anyway...
"Wireless, rechargeable controllers" - Ok, this I'll admit is awesome. No more shelling out money to Duracell.
"Sixaxis" - Great. Another pointless feature controllers need to have now. Just like rumble. Thanks Sony for stealing the worst ideas from Nintendo. But now Sony knows motion control is a bad... wait, they made the move.
"Less Breakdowns" - Well if this was 2006, you'd have a major point. But even then, the PS3's 11% fail rate, while looking rather nice next to the 360's 30%+, is still crappy next to a normal system (how many broken 2600s are there, and their old). But both RRoD and YLoD are ancient history in 2011.
"Third party accessories" - Yes, Your PS3 headset doesn't need to say Sony, but you still need to buy one. The 360 came with one.
"Better customer support" - Yep. When PSN goes down, you get inFAMOUS. When XBL goes down, you get Undertow. Nuff' said.
"Better Graphics" - Maybe you can see a difference between PS3 and 360 versions of the same game at 100x zoom, but to the naked eye, they look the same.
"It looks supa " - Opinion. Anyone can say what console they think looks better, there's no bias.
"More free stuff on the store" - yay, I always wanted free backgrounds and... forget it, I only want games.
"Access to movie sites" - You know what else has that? Your Computer.
"No bans for people swearing" - Wait, you think this is a good thing? Then I hope you stay on PSN, with the cheaters and the hackers and the people that only know 4 letter words. Really, I don't want to play with people that get banned.
"You can download things from..." - So can your computer, and it even does it faster.

I would like to point out that I have both systems in question. Most people here only have one, so they defend the one they bought.

My ps3 browser rarely crashed,in the early days it did,but now,rarely,i can even use vizzed.
I was talking about the game disks,and blueray disks do store more than hd's.
Also microsoft only made those harddrive sizes to compete with sony.
As i said,ps1 had motion control so nintendo werent original,and it is very handy in games.and rumble adds great atmosphere to games,ps3 users where annoyed that ps3 originaly removed it.
While 11% is high what modern console can you judge it against?wii?thats not great technology.
The 360 only came with headsets if you got a certain deal,i know plenty people that dont have 1.
However unless you bought a certain package you never got a hardrive or a wireless adapter needed for online,this so they could pretend xbox was far cheaper than ps3.it also,stupidly,had the power pack/brick,outside the console.
Actualy we got a choice of games that we could take 2 from,plus free ps which translated to,more free games.and thats customer compensation,not support,im talking about the actual call centres,i was impressed with them.
Microsoft charge you for renewal without asking,my friend called up and demanded a refund,he'd sold his 360.they wouldnt do it.they finaly said theyd downgrade it to a 6 month deal but he'd have to log on a month before the end to cancel subscription.he was like,i cant,i sold it!

Games that are on both platforms rarely take advantage of the ps3's better ability,the exclusives do though.games like heavy rain,afrika,mgs4,gt5,they all have stunning graphics.the 360 couldnt achieve that without blueray and the only way they could get half as close would take about 4 disks.all ps3 games are on one.

They do ocasionaly put free games on,especialy the jap store.and add ons are more often free,microsoft tend to tell companys they have to charge.

If its a game like ratchet and clank,gt5,or such games id say no swears,but adult rated games,yeh,i want to be allowed to swear.its not illegal.the majority of ps3 users are 13 , i genuienly think the lax rules are the reason ps3 is favoured by mature gamers,360 is predominately minors.
True,pc does download faster,but ps3 uses FAR less power,so i like to leave it downloading.
Im not being fanboyishes,i had a ps2 and decided to get a ps3 due to its superior specs.i considered getting an xbox 360 because it was already out but i thought the games looked lousy,the graphics bad and the features abysmal,hence why i went for ps3.

thenumberone : Microsoft runs the deal "1 month for 1 dollar" quite often,  just cancel before its up and they won't make you pay normal price. PSN+ on the other hand doesn't go on sale, the most I've seen is offering extra months for the same price, not a lesser price. And Sony will charge you automatically for PSN plus if you don't turn it off, it says so when you buy it.
-To give you an idea of PC vs PS3 downloading, a 100 MB file takes just under a minute to download, while on PS3 it takes 20+ minutes. The time I'd leave my PS3 on would far off set any power I'd gain.
-Now you're right, the 360's packages were and still are quite stupid, who is dumb enough to buy a 360 without a Hard drive or headset and only be $100 cheaper? Non-gamers buying gamers 360s, that's who. Thanks Microsoft  
-It's worth mentioning that the power prick being inside the PS3 often overheats the system and causes the dreaded yellow light (imagine just how many more red rings of death there would be if Microsoft did the same).
I- still can't get the PS3 browser to work properly most of the time. Even the Wii browser, despite running slower, manages to not crash. Perhaps it's the sites you visit? Messages boards like vizzed don't require much power.
-I'm aware you could pick from 5 games. I just said infamous because that's likely what everyone picked, along with Little big planet.
-You can log in to xbox without an xbox. It's called xbox.com. Your buddy needed to long in there and cancel. However, Microsoft's customer service does suck, I hate calling them. Nintendo's is awesome, but I can't personally speak for Sony's as I've never called them.
-You're forgetting something, when people have more disk space, they don't bother to program things efficiently, since they have 50 GB bluerays (basically infinity space for today's games). So the games take up far more space than they really need, since, "why bother to shrink them, they will fit anyway". Now, this is still a point for the PS3, but it's not quite as big as it seems.
-The moderators on Xbox live work by a report basis, so if you wanted to swear with your buddies just make your own private room and promise not to report each other. I can understand swearing can be fun when it's with your friends who know you're just talking trash and you're not really going to come to their house and them all, but it could offend random people.

Now I do like my PS3, infamous is awesome, and it;s nice to know I'll never have downtime between 1 month for $1 deals, but I prefer my 360 (at least for games, movies on the other hand, I mean it's made by a movie company!). But It's still fun to fight things out on message boards.

it only takes me about 6 minutes to do 100mb's unless its peak time.
it is a valid point, its lucky microsoft didnt put the power brick in side.
the only sites i have trouble with are facebook and youtube, since they updated so much that its using scripts the ps3 cant handle, if youre browsing at peak it may freeze more often, but its really not troubled me for some time now.
my ps3 broke due to a motherboard failure, i called them and the guy i talked to was the coolest guy ever, said he was "real sorry to hear that man, that sucks" and he was very helpfull. i cant describe how impressed i was with the service.
i think that they suggested doing it online after half an hour, they evidently didnt know about it, and clearly werent paying attention to the fact that he said he didnt have a 360 anymore.i saw one guy say they were asking him to transfer the contract to a friend, he got annoyed and they went huffy.
true but it dosent bother me that much about them wasting space on the disk. if they run out then they shrink it down.if im honest i hope the next xbox is closer to ps3 quality, because the game developers are lazy if they arent exclusives, and rarely bother maximising quality for one console.they just make the same code then translate it.if both consoles were almost equally powerfull that would encourage more effort.
oh im not offended, i like debating things. personaly, i thought infamous was average, i didnt even like drakes fortune but there are so many ps3 exclusives i love(although metal gear solid wont be one for long, the next one is also on 360, if the makers just keep the game as xbox quality on the ps3 version i will be (bad word).
the only 360 exclusives i know of that i like/think look cool are lerft for dead series,gears of war,  and tom clancys newest game, i cant remember the name, its like rainbow six vegas style.

well i enjoy ps3 due to the little things that are on it, rumble, sixaxis, never turning it on and realising your play hours are finished, etc, all add to the enjoyment for me and i wouldnt have half as much fun without em.
it is fun so long as no people jump in and say "microsoft rules, ps3 is laaaaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmmmeeeeee."
