I think both are equally great. The modern games have better graphics than any of the old school games can remotely amount to. I have a PS3 that I play a majority of the day, but I always make sure to play the old school games here on vizz.

I have no preference. I'm still hooked on those old classics like Mega Man 2, Pokemon Crystal, and Super Mario Bros. 3. On the same end, I can't get enough of newer games like Super Mario Galaxy, Pikmin, Super Smash Bros Brawl, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

They're both good.

The old ones have bad graphics, but still manage to be difficult sometimes. You can't not appreciate how good the old games are considering how little they had to work with.

The new ones certainly have better graphics and more advanced controls, but some of them either lack a good story (metroid other m) or have terrible controls (sonic and the secret rngs).

Look at it this way, with all the glitz and graphics that games bring now, a lot of them really lack in substance other than that. Either they are too easy to beat, or they are too short.
