Honestly I loved Halo 2 when it came out. It was the game that got me really into playing console games online. Me and my friends played the hell out of it.

Nowadays though I can't really go back and play reach. I've gotten so used to the controls of a game like Call of Duty, that it kinda annoys me to go back and play Halo.

Its not my favourite series but I enjoy the games. Although, recently, I think the games have fallen in quality. Reach was great, but odst and the remake of combat evolved weren't that good. I am looking forward to halo 4 though.

I respect Halo for what it represents, but I do not like the game myself. As far as I'm concerned, Halo was the logical progression that needed to be made in order for First Person Shooters to remain a popular genre with a popular Competitive community. At the time of Halo's release, Unreal Tournament had become dated and people were beginning to lose interest in that style of game. Halo breathed new life into the FPS genre, for better or for worse. Halo was also one of the main reasons Microsoft's XBox managed to stick and appear credible. Again, for better or for worse.

I like the Halo games. Before I played Halo 2, I hated FPS games with a passion. My college roommate kept pestering me to play Halo 2 with him and after awhile I gave in. At first I only played it with him because it was something to do to pass the time but after awhile I started to enjoy it. I started playing his copy of Halo and Halo 3 when he bought that.

It's not the greatest FPS ever, but its up there. I like the comedy potential in flying bodies and explosives and/or vehicular stunts/kills. While not very tactical, it can be if played right. In my opinion, it beats CoD, but loses to BF and TF2..
