I've noticed the post activity has really dropped lately over the past few days, it's dropped by literally 400-500 posts. Would anyone happen to know the reason or a possibility as to why the activity has dropped?

I honestly think it's just because of Christmas. People are enjoying their time off work / school / etc.

my best guess is it's been the holidays. Lots of people get new toys and gadgets that they get excited about using and spend a lot of time right after Christmas playing with them.

That and a fair number of people go on some sort of vacation and don't have the same access to the internet as they used to.


Plus I've always found that activity levels stay pretty stable once they hit a level. So Since we've dropped we'll stay here until there is something that pushes the level back up to where it was.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with everybody here about the fact that it's the holidays and that people are spending more time with their family and/or presents. Also, people like Leggy and jmc1097 haven't been going on posting sprees lately, and at their height they were getting literately 50+ posts a day.

David, to be fair, I haven't been posting the way I was. I am maybe hitting like 15 posts a day as opposed to the 60 I was putting up. I may not singlehandedly be responsible, but look at the bulk of our posters. Casy, jmc, and big were banned for three days. In those 3 days post count should have dropped about 100-150 posts with just those three. Add in my 60 to 15 drop and you get around 45 posts less. That makes just the four of us close to 200 lost posts. Take in account the holidays and you can automatically expect less posts, that makes the general number around 400 less posts. I saw this coming, but I actually saw it having more of an impact.

i havnt been here very long but ill have to say the holidays . and if it helps put up something that gets people talkin . whats the biggest threads that get the most response .

I think that there are a few factors that caused this...

Factor 1) The Bans. It's not a secret that there have been a ton of bans, and let's face it, leggy said it up there too, a few of these bans were towards some of the people that hit a ton of posts in a day. If you eliminate the people who make tons of posts, then there only is hope in those who make small, yet affordable, amounts of posts.
Factor 2) The Holidays. This was discussed enough that we all know why. People either spend more time with presents and/or family than on a website posting all day, it seems.
Factor 3) The Chat Rooms. I'm surprised no one has mentioned this factor yet. The chatroom has been booming with activity lately. Wether it's spammers, trolls, the normal chatters, or newbies. There have been a ton more people in the chatroom than there are people posting it seems. The forums are like classes at school, for example. You don't really get to free talk during those (classes) threads, you gotta stay on topic. And the chatroom is like lunch/recess/after school, you get to talk to who you want with whatever topic you choose. Which basically explains why more people spend more time there.
Factor 4) The RGR. This isn't a problem that needs resolving at all. The RGR is great, yet people join more for the soul purpose to play games instead. It's great, but nothing can redirect fbm to posting more and pay less attention to gaming.

I think that pretty much explains all the reasons why there have been some drops in posting lately...

Davideo7 : I was wondering the same thing, I have to wait almost 2 days to get a response to a post. I've been posting as much as I can, but no ones responding!

1. Holidays: It's still kinda the holiday season, and people are playing with their toys and video games, and that drops activity by at least 100 posts, because of the lack of boredom/wanting to post.

2. Chatrooms: The top posters either got banned, or didn't want to post because their friends were banned. Big Fat Cat, the_casualty, and jmc1097 are basically the main base of posting, with their sprees, they got banned, legacyme3, myself, and few others didn't really want to post as much because of that, which is kinda resorting in the departure of legacyme3, who needs a vacation from Vizzed, and says he might not return to staff. With that happening, many others have thought the same, and they want to quit too. So a lot of people are on break from Vizzed because of this stuff that happened in the chatrooms. That gets rid of 400-500 posts a day.

3. Bad internet: It seems peoples internet have been crashing a lot more. vizwiz123 and BreakDown (Hasn't been on for half a year), and few others haven't been here since.

Anyways, as far as I know, big and I have been going on post sprees lately, and although we for the past few days haven't gotten anything more then 1/35th Vizzed Syndrome, us not posting as much hasn't been affecting THAT much.

You would be surprised how much a few people can post in one day. Literally all of the higher posters are in the chat room ALL day.

Yeah, I haven't been posting much as of lately, though that doesn't make a big impact, its gonna happen more, since school is starting again :/

Davideo7 : Perhaps cause it's right after Christmas. People are probably enjoying their new gifts and are still with their families. I doubt it's anything personal, this is still the best site ever! That's my best guess....cause I know I haven't been posting much lately, that's because of the hectic Christmas shopping. Thank god that's over! But I'm back now...so yeah!

It's probably because of the holidays, and also because me, big, and casy all got banned, and we posted A LOT (especially me and casy). I've also been in the chatroom more lately, and I haven't been in as big of a posting mood as usual lately.
