vizwiz123 : They were made in the same year, but the games were in Japan in February, but in America, it was in October, and the cards were released in October, so the games came first in Japan, but the cards came at the same time as the games in the rest of the world.

The best part of Pokemon is the games. THE ONLY REASON anyone gets a Nintendo handheld is for Pokemon lol. Besides that, I don't collect them anymore but the cards. I still walk by Wal-Mart aisles wanting to just stand there and pick up a pack or tin or two. Team Rocket was awesome for the first few episodes of the first season, but after that they became a joke that just would not end. They killed the series for me. The movies have always turned out pretty good no matter what the timeline. The games are by far the best thing about the pokemon franchise and always will be.

I think the best part of pokemon has to be the fact that you can taake yor time and go exploring.The thing with pokemon is that the fun never stops even after you have all the badges,defeat your rival,and beat the elite four.You can still train your pokemon and roam the map to catch all the pokemon.Also the fact of being able to trade and battle with other trainers is very impressive to do in a ds game.
