I read half of 2 books both about Java programming. But I wasn't able to finish them since I didn't have enough time. However, I was glad that I read what I could since I was able to understand more Java although I'm still a beginner and I really hate Java (I prefer Pascal).

The only coding book I read from front to back (without being forced to read a book) is PHP for the world wide web. It was so outdated the guy in the book was using the wrong quotes for things  One day I was just like screw it I wanna know php so I read the entire book. Though it didn't really help much, it was good for reference since the hardest part for me is memorizing the variables / function names. Making stuff is the easy part but I do often forget the basic set up of it all.
The best way to learn is by experimenting, books can only do so much you have to use your mind  One day I was just like screw it I wanna know php so I read the entire book. I didnt even know there were books on coding  I might go and get one soon, now that I know there are some But I much more prefer site guides and such. It's easier to be able to test, and sometimes comprehend.
