I'm not married. It's nearly impossible for me to even find a girl who accepts me fro who am, willing to work with me to better myself and just put up with me. All the girls I've come across here are uptight and shallow.  I just have the feeling I'll never marry. =/

I've always wanted to get married. Not the right time for that, though, I'm still too young.

I know I might sound silly saying this at age nineteen, but I really do not want children. I don't ever want that responsibility, and the person I'm getting married to better not either.

I also do not really want to get married. I do not see the big appeal of it to be honest once you get married your life seems to stop and slow down. I do not really want that.

If I got married, it would basically be like the ultimate commitment to my partner; not some promise that our life is about to get more boring. Without kids, my husband and I would be able to behave young all the time basically. We would be able to travel a lot, spend more quality time together, party, go out for dinner, host at our house, buy a small sexy car (no mom vans), have lots of extra money (compared to a couple with children) for ourselves, and so on.

I agree with your points. Those are most of the things why I don't even want to get married though. I just would have to look out for my self, and no one else. I really do not want to get married because people bore me pretty quick. I would end up wanting to be with some one else really soon into the marriage. And that is an awful thing. I like the idea of having someone who compliments me perfectly always by my side. It's true that the majority of people suck in one way or another, but when your feelings become strong, I think it's worth it to take a risk and put a little trust in someone else.

But maybe you will never meet someone you want to get married to. Personally I don't see a problem with that.

A marriage will ideally be stronger than the two people individually. My wife marks my calendar when every bill is due and she taught me to budget money. I cook amazing food and take her to awesome museums. I am emotionally stronger and can give her support she needs and I am glad to do it. Together we are great parents to our toddler. That's a argument for marriage.
