There are a lot of things about Christmas that have been turned secular. For instance, the gift giving comes from the Magi giving gifts to JESUS to celebrate his BIRTH. Santa Claus, obviously, came from St. Nick, who was someone who went around putting money and gifts in people's stockings to show them what Jesus had done for him. The candy cane came from a candy maker showing children that the red was Jesus's blood, and the white being his birth or purity i think. It was actually intended to look like a J as well as a staff (cane) to show that Jesus is a shepherd and his name starts with a J. The Christmas tree came from a man, Saint Boniface, showing that there was a tree that people worshiped. You see, people used to worship an oak tree that was the god Thor's. They said if you chopped it down you would die, and the Boniface chopped it down. When he didn't die, he told them to use the evergreen tree as a symbol of Jesus' life, since it never dies. So people began using that instead and putting it on their homes and eventually in their homes. So you see, many symbols that are so called "secular" actually have a Christian origin. SO YES IT IS DEFINITELY A RELIGIOUS CHRISTIAN HOLIDAY.

The rules of combat may have changed, but the price for honor has not

Yes Christmas is a RELIGIOUS Holiday. It's suppose to be where you are thankful for your life and the things Jesus has done which is die on the cross for us. You are suppose to count your blessings and spend time with your friends and family. But It's gotten to commercialized that now all people think about is presents.
