I lost my little buddy Tiger a year and a half ago, 3 days after my birthday too. Out of nowhere he came if the house(he was an indoor cat, but like to go out to do his business and sit on the porch) heaving as if he couldn't breath, and was puking water as is all hydration was purging from his body. I think he was poisoned and when describing his symptoms to my friend (a vet), all the signs of rat poisoning. The poor little guy didn't deserve that and I didn't even want to imagine living around people that could do that, so I moved.

At the moment I've lost all the pets I loved.
We had two ferrets named Leo and Macy that lived their full life span.
And three cats, Boc Choy, Miso, and Ginga, Boc Choy died of old age, and the other two just went pretty much insane when he went. He was the one keeping them in line. We had to have them put down.

As a matter of fact I have. More than once. But the one that really hit me the hardest, was when I lost my little male Schipperke last year. I still miss him. I had him since he was 3 months old. He was 14 when he passed.

RIP SMOKEY (1996-2010)

Our hamsters both got out of their cages, one was really smart, we used an aquarium type cage with a open air (wire-ish) top with no clamp, or mechanism to keep it from being pushed up, so that is how the second hamster was able to flip is house/box/climbing platform thing so it was on its side so he was more higher up and then he grabbed the edge and popped it up allowing himself to squeeze out. Lol we learned from then on..... Everytime each hamster got lost in the house, we were able to find them though

Yes. I miss my Little Ugly. My iguana. I had him since he was no bigger than my palm. I had him until he grew longer than my arm. He was so sweet and attached to me. I remember whenever someone reaches into his cage and he gives them that look "I'll bite chu" Lol and of course he does, but whenever I reach in there he crawls on my arms and hangs out on my shoulder. I found out that he passed when I was living in Nebraska and got a call from my mom telling me he passed on. From what I heard. During my absence. He developed a growth on his mouth and killed him. I miss him to this day. I won't find another iguana like him.

I have lost two pets; my dog Annabel and my cat Lenore(my parents were big Poe fans). Annabel hit me the hardest because she was the first thing I loved to die and she died so suddenly. Lenore was a little easier because it was very obvious that it was coming soon and it was a relief to know she wasn't in pain anymore; not that it still didn't hurt. The poem I submitted into the poetry contest actually is about her and helped me move on after her death. I cried the entire time I wrote it.

As a side note there's this poem that I find really comforting when an animal dies, but it's a tear jerker. I just read it over and I'm balling my eyes out.

One of my dogs died about a month ago. He was around 13 or 14 years old. His organs were gradually shutting down. His body literally just gave up on him. I do miss him a lot. I remember the day we got him back when I was in elementary school.

My one dog, Sammy, had to be put down today. He was an 11 year old golden retriever. He lived a pretty good life, but he had some sort of cancer. He had a tumor that was removed a few times, but it kept growing back. He was barely able to walk anymore. It was obvious that he was in pain, so it was for the best I guess. I've had cats that have passed away as well.

When I was just a wee little lad, I had a cat named Ozzy.  Ozzy was a cool cat, he was fat and I was in the midst of training him not to be a dick.

Then, one day my mom decided that she should leave the window open while going grocery shopping.  (sniffle) I have never seen Ozzy since.
That event was so life changing on me that I went from being a cat person to a dog person, mainly because I thought it silly that most cats will run away and never look back if they have the chance, where you can easily train a dog to always come back to you... stupid kitty.

Best Keep your concience as clean as you can, or charma will come with a blade in it's hand. It will strike all those who seek to gain without giving, and spare all of those who are weak and forgiving.

No, I don't remember losing any pets, but that's probably because they were all fish. I DO remember that my mom lost her dog once.... Unfortunately, they found it a week later lying on the side of the road.
