Golvellius : or maybe that there really isn't much to talk about. Of course there are some harsh descriptions in the Bible, because people do dumb things. The Bible is only recording what those dumb things are, and they are not going to dull it down to make it rated E for everyone. It has to record what really happened.

play4fun : So you're fine knowing that your God Is a murderer and advocates genocide, murders,slavery ? So you think God is dumb and has done some dumb things ? Christians only want to discuss the nice things, they aviod the harshness and anything that may look bad. I took some passages from the bible, if you don't like it then there is nothing i can do about it. If you look back at the verses that he posted. He quoted verses that have topics of "Genitals" and "testicles" and "engage prostitution with idols." None of them were talking about God doing something. All of them are talking about the things that people do. I am merely saying that this is not surprising to me. I saw this thread a long time ago, but I did not bother answering it, because it really isn't much to talk about. The Bible does talk about some gory details. You can look at the Book of Judges, LOTS of graphic things happening(ex: splitting a dead woman's body), and the main theme in the book is that "Everyone did what was right in his own eyes." (Judges 17:6)
