Once at college, they had milk that was dated something like the 27th of the month. The day I bought it was something like the 23rd of the month. The thing is, the current date was in October, but the expiration date was in September. The woman who was in charge of that snack cart was livid. It wasn't her job to stock the food/drinks so she didn't even know about it.

When I first got it, I thought it was ok. But when I was halfway through breaking the seal, it exploded. I live in a house that lives off milk, so I didn't know how to identify bad milk so I tasted it. Not the smartest idea I ever had. This was back when I was a freshman so I didn't know any better.

I once made coffee before work and put a little milk in it as usual... I gagged from it. Did not know I had the milk for too long. Well I didn't have enough time to make it again, so just spent an extra couple bucks at Starbucks .

No, I normally check the dates on perishables before consuming them.

Most milk products actually have a 'Sell By' date on them (not a 'Use By' date). It's expected that they should be okay for a few days after that, simply because most products aren't completely consumed on the day of purchase.

SO I go in the fridge and it was indeed expired..only a day old though! I thought I was going to get a stomach virus. Now I know to check everything before inserting into my mouth.

it hasnt happend to me but there i must go to some meeting we can make your own coffe and there is a fridge there with milk and one meeting someone checked to milk and it pretty much over a month old and he said it was even green lol and all could smell it on a distance and it wasnt pleasant to get a smell on it xD
