Well..
The PS3 games have amazing graphics, and the online is free, but both of my friends who have one told me that the connection is pretty bad at times, and system and game updates take forever. The 360 has great internet capabilities, the updates usually take seconds, or minutes if it's a big one. Plus, the Elite version of the system has an insane amount of memory, at 250 gigs..and theres even hard drive connector wires that allow you to use two hard drives for even more memory. And of course, it is cheaper. I think both systems have good things about them. I will say that I personally think the PS3 is the better buy right now. Not only do you get a great gaming system, but it doubles as a blu-ray movie player, and playing online games for the system is free. So you save your self a bunch of money and get a blu-ray player too -------------------- |

Xbox 360, because of it's games, wider arcade variety, and a lot more.
I don't like how when I ask people "How is a PS3 better?" and they reply "Uhh, uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, Blu Ray", and I say "Is that all", they say "NOOOOOOOOO!!!!", it's hilarious.

alexanyways : Funny, considering I ask how the 360 is better people say "HALO IS ON THERE" that's hilarious as well. No offense, much of Microsoft's game line up in '10 wasn't that great. Mass Effect 2 was their killer-app for the year until it goes to PS3 early next year, Crackdown 2 is a re-hash of the first with a multiplayer mode or two, and Alan Wake tries spooks well but isn't worth the 5 years that Remedy spent on. The only big games that were excellent on the 360 was Halo Reach, Super Meat Boy, and Limbo. But you must agree that Kinect is hilariously bad. Microsoft is scrapping the bottom of the barrel when they advertise their system on Oprah and Jimmy Fallon.

xfighter1138 : I hate Halo, almost all the enemies are half your size, making it harder to kill. Oh well, Kinect is the greatest thing to ever happen to video games, ever, with no controllers, and of course their advertising is bad with Jimmy Fallon and Oprah, only because everythings been done before, and remember, those people asked for it to be on their shows, not Microsoft. It has Halo Reach, Super MEat Boy, Limbo, and a ton others, we also get the games before PS3 in some cases, like the GTAIV Episodes set. It took so long to fix it because they were fixing other things. Every fanboy is extremely stupid in their own ways.

I would pick Xbox 360 over PS3. I didn't even know PS3 had a Blu-Ray Player. What I've noticed is that Sony is the only company that has to advertise the system. Sony's Move controller is just a ripoff of Wii. I think it's going to die out soon if they don't come up with something that is actually new and enjoyable. Kinect isn't perfect either, but at least it's different. I also like Halo better than... what good games has Sony made again? I can't remember any that didn't come from a 3rd party designer.
alexanyways : It's funny that you hate Halo. I was arguing with my cousin regarding Wii vs. Xbox 360. He couldn't think of any good Xbox 360 games other than Halo that came from Microsoft. Each time I named a Wii game, he tried to throw in Halo as one of Microsoft's good games. He couldn't come up with any others.

Well it is a matter of taste if you like ps3 or xbox360 better.
If you don't mind paying a little more money for a system with great graphics and a blu-ray player and don't care about lousy online collections pick ps3. If you want to pay a little less and don't mind paying for online play (or don't play online at all) and having a big risk of the red ring of death but having access to great games such as Halo pick the xbox360. I prefer the ps3.

That's a tough question. Both of those systems have their ups and downs. PS3 has a Blu-Ray player and a ton of great games for the system. But the system and games are expensive. Xbox 360, on the other hand, has very good franchises like Halo, Viva Pinata, etc. But it can overheat and get the red ring of death.
I prefer the Xbox 360, even with those flaws.
