I don't think anyone else made a thread on this didn't see it but that sucks Leslie Nielsen is gone he was a great actor played in many great comedy films like Naked Gun and Repossessed, Airplane, Spyhard and others. Basically no media attention either I just got lucky and happened to catch it somewhere... Naked Gun is one of my favorite comedy movies of all time. RIP. Mr Nielsen

I don't like celebrities really but there are a few out there who I think should deserve respect and Nielsen is one of them

Yeah I probably would not have known about it if my eyes didn't catch it on a random site. Amazing how there was such little media coverage on it, or maybe I just have not been watching or following the media

Yeah I think this sub forum will be great(as far as organization), especially considering how many dead celebrities have died in the past year or two figure I should make a forum on it.

If anyone mod is bored you can scan the entertainment section and toss similar threads in here

On November 28, Dr. Doug Nielsen, Nielsen's nephew, announced to the CJOB radio station that Nielsen had died in his sleep, due to complications from pneumonia, around 5:30 p.m. EST, surrounded by family and friends."

I was actually surfing Vizzed when I heard the news. Like so many people, I grew up watching Nielsen's film work. Heck, the man had a 60 year career...most known for Lt. Frank Drebbin from the Naked Gun movies ( themselves based off Police Squad!), he was also well remembered as the captain in the original Poseidon Adventure. He will be missed.
