Although I like all three of them, I will go with Tepig because his final form looks pretty cool, and he is the only fire starter that can legit learn a water attack (boiling water). I also want to pick him because I can pick the grass monkey when I get to the forest so I can have my cool gen 5 team.

I actually favor quadrupeds so I would have to go with the otter instead of Tepig since Tepig turns into a Biped and Oshawott into a quadruped. Snivy turns into a...well...no legs plus I never get the grass type...END.

The Grass starter evolves into a snake-like pokemon eventually, which is original for a starter...they're all pretty original starters, but like everyone else, I'm leaning towards Tepig..his final form has that tough, bulky look about it that I love in a pokemon. The pokemon in Gen V look really cool overall. -------------------- |

Well, To be fair, grass, water and fire are pretty much the base elements for all rpg's, so it would make sense to keep the tradition with those three.

Wow pokemon looks like little baby toys now instead of a fun game. I mean the creativity and art in emerald was becoming ridiculous but can anyone who honestly started at Gen 1/2 even stand these pictures? Not trying to sound offensive to people who have been waiting their whole lives for gen v to come out but it looks like my 2 year old nieces stuffed animals. Come on people pokemon is not about cute, thats pikachu's job. Even if I was 9 again, I am not sure if I could pick up pokemon if it looked like this from the start. Am I the only one that feels this way

I took a look at the stats, and Oshawatt's final form is a sledge hammer; you don't wanna get attacked by that thing, and it looks awesome to boot. Oh, and although Tepig ends up with slightly better stats, since Fir/Fighting is overdone, I'd actually pick Tepig last. I think the only Gen that I liked all of the starters was 3rd Gen. :/
BaldNinja : I can stand them. Oshawotts' final form looks awesome, and I can't wait to get that electric spider. I wish they had better names though. 
That being said, they need to tone back the 'cuteness' meter about 2 notches or so; They have enough already, they don't need more. Shane : You're not picking Snivy even though it's green!?  Snivy ends up as a fast wall though, which is a little weird. :/ Toxic and some other 'mess with the opponent' moves maybe?
