I have had 5 die.  I was close to these 5 as well which is why I refuse to add further detail.

I count myself lucky. I've never lost an immediate family member. In fact, the closest family member I've lost would be my great grandparents, and while I loved them and thought very highly of them, I was not all that close to them.

While I think I've been blessed in that department, it does make for very scary prospects.  I mean, when I DO lose a close family member, it will be a brand new experience for me....one that comes off three or more decades of not knowing what it is to lose someone you love so dearly.

I remember when this summer one of my friend's mothers died.  I hardly even KNEW the woman....and I had hung out with her and my friends maybe a half dozen times about seven or eight years ago.  So needless to say, I was not close to her at all.  Yet when I heard about her death, I was SO struck with shock, and I cried for days.  I mean, my friends are of my generation...how could they lose their mother so soon?  I had to call my parents and tell them I love them.  You never know when something totally unexpected is just going to strip someone away from you.  I dread the day that it will happen, and I will have to rely on the Lord then more than ever.

In my lifetime, probably 3 of my close family has passed.  They were wonderful people, and I really wish I got to know them more.  I love them a lot, and I will always miss them.

M!cH@3l 001 : I’ve lost my grandparents a great grandparent, a cousin, several pets and, probably some family that I either don’t know much about or can’t really remember. It hurts me to think about to be honest. In terms of pets I lost my dog who was with me for sixteen years back in April. I’m still very much grieving.

One thing that I hope for is that despite the ups, down, mistakes, and nonsense I’ve been through in life that I will be able to make those who I’ve lost proud of me, It’s one reason why I am trying to finish straightening my life out beyond obviously not being happy about where my life is myself. I hope I will be able to do that. There isn’t a day that I don’t think about them all.

One grandparrent left. The one who wont speak to even family members because of her religious issues. The ones I was close with have passed on. Other than that one great grandpa and some grand uncles and aunts.

My father died of a tumor, my grandmother on his side of old age and complications with a kidney problem. My grandfather on my dad's side passed away of liver problems from a long life of drinking. My grandmother on my mother's side died of heart complications. My uncle-in-law died of a brain tumor. My Uncle died of diabetes, my cousin died in a car accident, and my other cousin died in a robbery gone wrong. My maternal grandfather killed himself from PTSD  from Vietnam. 

I actually lost 5 family members on the same day there were jumped and killed by gang members that broke into their home.

My heart goes out to all those who have lost loved ones.
I lost many family members in my life not counting my two grandfathers on my dad's side that I never met. I lost my cousin on dad's side when I was 9 from a drunken car crash. Then when I was 11 my cousin on my mom side was pregnant and lost the baby shortly after she had her. Then when I was 16 I lost both my grandfather and aunt on my mom's side. I was 18 when my grandmother passed away on my mom's side. Most recently I lost my last grandparent (my grandmother on my dad's side.) But before that I went though the most painful loss in my life this year I lost my dad. He passed this January and I'm still kind of shaken up by the whole thing

This is a long list for me so I wont mention them all.

But in my lifetime I have lost 7 people.

The most important of them being my grandma, as she raised me to be the man I am today.

I never knew my parents as they got taken when I was still a baby, but I keep them in my thoughts.

I feel for everyone that has lost someone here, its a hard thing in life to handle.

My Uncle 2011 from a Heart Attack 

The only death in my families has been the 2nd closest family member on my dads side and that was my Grandpa, he passed away in 2005 and it just not the same without him. 

I have lost 5 to cancer. Brain tumor, I don't remember which cancer, Melanoma (skin cancer), Ovarian cancer, and my uncle died of cancer that they caught so late that I don't remember where it originated. Needless to say, I kinda hate cancer.

I lost two to cancer and one to a heart attack.
Besides those three those are the only family members I remember dieing.
( Any others would most likely be distant relatives. )

Well, my Grandpa died about a year ago. Besides that I don't know.
