I've been here quite a while, and have finally decided to put a bit of time into making a cool profile. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do/where to start? Any links to helpful sites, etc. would be appreciated. I am a big Megaman Battle Network and Megaman Star Force fan, if that's any help. I'm also a huge nerd.

I'll take suggestions, but a full walkthrough would help a lot. If someone will walk me through this, I'll give them anywhere from 1,000-5,000 viz! Please let me know here if you're willing to take the time to help me with this. Thanks, y'all.

Do you want a profile like mine? Cuz if so, I'd need to teach you some basic CSS. The same code that I used to make mine have the space background and such. Just take a look. Haha

Rather, the color format was CSS. My user Bio was made with HTML. Both code, but two different types.

Zeldisaster : That would be awesome. I would like to maybe do a split screen MMBN/MMSF pic as my background, and as the pic under my name, I'd probably like a nerdy pic, or something like that. It sounds like you're looking for a User Picture and Layout, not a different profile setup. All you'd have to do to get a User Pic is go to places like http://www.deviantart.com or http://photobucket.com and browse through those pictures to find what you're looking for.

Now, layouts are currently only editable by Elite and up, so you're out of luck there, but I can help you with the User Pic once you choose a pic. Unless you want me to find one for you.

Actually you would need photos to start with and then you'd have to get someone to photoshop them.

The rest of the layout is HTML and CSS. While the tags themselves may not be hard to learn (particularly in HTML, CSS has so many it's not even funny) actually applying them is quite a bit different. You'd be better off getting someone to make you a layout for you. But you'll probably need to find background pictures for them.

And once you get a layout finished you'll need to PM an admin to get it put on your account currently.

A few issues led to a lot of changes in how the system works. Changes are still being made, but I tested it and I still can't edit my background or signature. Until you're a Trusted User, the most you can do (that I know of) is add your own Profile Picture. The Fire Emblem one at the left is mine. I actually made that one myself using four different pictures from online.

If you're not up to spending a few hours to customize a picture, then my best advice is to go to Google Images and type in the name of a character, the game it's from, and the word "wallpaper." You can also leave "wallpaper" out, but wallpaper images tend to be more creative and original.

When you find the image you like, right click on it and click "Save Image as," then save it somewhere you can easily find it. I use the Desktop generally. When that's done, go to this Vizzed page to add it:

Next to "User Picture," click the "Choose File" button. Find and select the image you saved. Then go to the bottom of the page and click "Edit Profile." If the file is more than 200 pixels wide or is more than 100 kilobytes in size, then it will be rejected. I personally use Paint.net (a program I downloaded) for resizing images, but I've heard that it's equally easy with MS Paint. You might need someone else to tell you how exactly to do it in Paint.
