When i was 3 my parents and i were driving in a golf cart. They left the keys in the golf cart and i scooted over and smashed the gas pedal. I drove into a brick wall and went head first into the wall i had to get stitches over my eye, this also caused me do severely damage my left pain lobe nearly destroying it. When I was 5 I was running and i tripped and smashed my head into a dresser. I had to get 8 stitches between my eyes up to the middle of my forehead. This damaged my memory lobe causing me to have a BAD memory and also caused me to remember absolutely nothing up until I was 13. So i have not know who I knew to what schools or teachers i had. so your long term memory was gone? I guess you can't really remember but did you have a short term memory during that time?

Are you getting better from it?

I know of someone who has/had amnesia (not sure whatever happened since I don't really see him anymore). Anyway, he doesn't remember what happened to him to get amnesia and he can't recall anything prior to when he was 9. I heard that he was a bit of a trouble maker as a young boy, but, last I checked he was a pretty nice guy.

@geoogree Yea my long term memorie was completely wiped out. I have a couple of short term memories form back then maybe about 1-3 minutes each. And yes im getting better but not remembering any of my past. Yea I used to believe what my mother told me until i found out she lied and said i had worms in my arm and that she loved me when i was a kid... found out that when i was a kid she would lock me in my room for 8+ hours a day while i was kicking and screaming because i wanted out until my dad came out and she would throw up her hands an yell I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE! Never understood why i was so "horrible" to be with while i was a kid.

Man I have had a few major concussions but nothing damaging my lobes! I do have a memory problem now though. I really can't stand when people are talking about a experience you had with them and then they ask.

"Do you remember that?"
Then all I can answer is "no." I get really sad when this happens because I'll never get that memory back. Good luck.

LeoTheLion21 : I'm sorry about your childhood. As for me, I've been well blessed. I'm 18, but I still consider myself a kid a heart (and I still live with my parents). They have consistently cared about me, especially my mother, who has done a TON over the years to help me, despite any pain she'd have, etc.

I had a head injury when I was 2 years old. I fell down some stairs and split my head open on a pipe. I was quickly rushed in, and had to have about 20 stitches. I don't remember the incident, but I haven't had any life-threatening injuries since.

I would like to ask, how hard has it been recovering from the head injury, and bad memory?
