None of them. Zelda I didn't make any sense (I ended up at the third dungeon instead of the first when I started) and Zelda II was devilishly hard. It didn't get good til a Link to the Past; from then on out it's been excellent.

the original is far better in my opinion. Sure it was hard to figure out where to go... but once you got going it was great.
The second one was so freakin hard that I couldn't stand to play it. It's one of the only games I've ever stopped playing because I got frustrated. I like Zelda II better. Why? Because it actually gave me a challenge

I prefer Zelda II myself. It was very different from other games in the series & more of a challenge which is what I liked about it. Also, of the people that say they liked Zelda II better, I actually casted a vote.

I'm going with "Both". They're both great games, but not as many people seemed to like Zelda II 'cause, "It's too challenging." BAH! It was an amazing game, despite the ever-present challenge. 
Now I myself have played the first Zelda the most often, and it was even the first game I have ever played. But they're both good games. the_casuality: "(I ended up at the third dungeon instead of the first when I started)" He-he, I laugh because I know that the third dungeon is closest to the "spawn point" = easiest to get to/find.

Too me this really is not a question. I love Zelda and Zelda 2 but I consider Zelda 2 not a Zelda game. Seeing as I played the newer ones then went back and played Zelda 2 it just did not feel like Zelda too me. The game is still good just I prefer Zelda because it is just like the other games.

I started playing the first Zelda in the RGR and I didn't really make it anywhere. I just have no idea where to go. My first Zelda was OoT, so this style of Zelda is awkward for me. Tough choice because I prefer either genre (action/rpg and side-scroll-platform). Both good games, however, Zelda 2 was a bit annoying with having to start at the beginning after you die and have traversed half the game. Not really a complaint though because it made the game last longer/more of a challenge. But because of the annoyance factor, I'd say Zelda 1. -------------------- |

I really don´t like zelda 2... the difficulty wasn´t good to get me hooked... i never find the game intresting either... if it´s gonna be hard it better be like ninja gaiden hard so i´ll actually think it would be worth it. And i like overhead view on zelda games.

I would have to go with Zelda I, because it seems its easier and without a major point where u have to restart as much as the second one. Good friends are like stars....You don't always see them, but you know they are always there. Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget. |

I like Zelda I the most because it's one of the only true adventure games I've ever played. You could go anywhere in the world from the beginning and complete most of the dungeons out of order if you wanted to. -------------------- |

I chose neither because both of them were kind of difficulty. I think Zelda was better than Zelda II because I remember being in a dungeon or something. |
