Basically, in this thread, you declare a Pokemon that you would send into battle against the Pokemon posted by the previous person and give a reason(s) why you picked that Pokemon. Don't just give the reason that the Pokemon type is super effective, try to be original.

Ex:
I choose Groudon!

Next Person: I choose Rayquaza!
Reason: Rayquaza does well in type matchup against Groudon, and Rayquaza's ability negates Groudon's.

I'll start it off:

I choose Pikachu!

I choose diglett. It's super effective, faster, and pikachu's electric attacks don't work on him.

I see your diglett. So I will choose... Skarmory! Its dual type of Steel/Flying renders it immune to ground types plus Diglett's Arena Trap ability. Add in Skarmory's natural defenses and you get one tough customer.

Fine. I'll choose Charizard.
Reason: It's faster, got stronger attack power, and his signature move flamethrower is extremely effective against skarmory.

I choose Swampert, because not only are its ground and water attacks super effective against Charizard, but being that Swampert is a water and ground type, both Charizard's fire and flying attacks will do not much damage to Swampert.

Here comes Kyogre. Hydro Pump your Charizard to death with superior Sp. Att. and Sp. Def. Plus it is now raining, making your fire attacks weaker!

How many people will chose Charizard! Anyway, this time I'll choose Quagsire, because of the reasons I said for Swampert. Plus, Quagsire's Mud Sport attack will weaken Charizard's fire moves.

Kirbymon: Ground attacks will have no effect on Charizard as he is flying. Plus, Mud Sport weakens electric moves, not fire. I'll just send out Grovyle and let his incredibly high speed do the trick with grass moves.

I choose...Charizard So yeah, Charizard's high attack and power can wipe out Grovyle even without the fire moves, of which are super effective.

It's actually 6X effective, and 12X when it's a critical hit XD, but anyways, I'll get down to business.

I choose Swampert, which has two different type advantages on Onix. With an Earthquake attack (accuracy: 100, attack: 100), or even better, Surf(accuracy: 100, attack: 95), as Onix has low special defense, I can easily knock it out!

Again whilst Swampert avoids its Electric weakness with its Ground-type, a simple Giga Drain from my Meganium shall do the trick! Haha and Meganium is holding an Occa Berry. (look it up!)

I choose Articuno.
It's resistant to grass and has moves like Sheer Cold that can 1-hit KO any opponent. It's ice and flying attacks are super effective and it can heal itself with roost.

An Ice/Flying legendary... yeesh. Looks like I'm gonna have to cut the chase and haul out the big guns. I choose... Rotom. No I am not joking. With its type, ability, and form shifting movesets, it bcomes a force to be reckoned with. My challenge with Rotom is this: can you beat a pokemon that can adapt to a variety of situations?

p.s: seriously what is it with all the charizards?

I would send out Gengar against your Rotum, use Gravity, and then use Earthquake, unless you're in Fan mode(I would just use Rock Slide), I would be Super Effective on you no matter h-what.
