With shows like Jersey Shore, and Teen Mom becoming popular, I ask this question: Do u like reality shows or don't like them?

JonXMasterZZMan : yes, I do like watching reality shows. My favorite is a show called "The Real World" and "The Bad Girls Club". Mainly because the people on each show mostly NEVER get along and there's nothing more entertaining than watching real people have real arguments on national Television. As far as Jersey Shore and Teen mom...*sigh* extremely boring...not appealing at all. I'd rather watch a disney movie than either of those 2 crappy reality shows...

I don't like most reality shows, except for the real inspirational and imaginative ones, like Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Undercover Boss. In my opinion, those are among the reality shows ever made.

I can like reality shows, but if they have real meaning to them.
Teen Mom and 16 & Pregnant can really relate to the teens of today.
I, for one, have like 5 friends who have babies.
Luckily I've never gotten pregnant and don't plan to,
But it's a good show. It teaches younger teens the cons of getting pregnant at an early age and how much life changes once you've become responsible for 2 lives when you're not yet responsible enough for your own. It shows how much you have to really grow up and mature. Getting jobs, your own place (if your parents kick you out) and having to take care of a whole other life can really turn your teenage years around for you.

But other shows like Jersey Shore or "Real" Housewives of _________ are just pointless. They teach you nothing and have no reason or value to them. Jersey shore is just about people in their 20's living out their lives as richie rich kids. And "Real" Housewives (I put the "" on the 'real' because they're not housewives at all.) is stupid. Those are not real moms, they're not real housewives. They aren't the ones cooking for their families, they're just middle aged women having a good time and enjoying life which gives a huge controversy to the name of the show.

So in this whole reality show debate, I voted yes, but I'd really have to be in the middle. Some are good and some are bad.

Bah, I hate most reality shows. Like sophie, they have to have a real meaning to them for me to like them, not to be made just to show us the rich lives of other people doing stuff I don't care about. Things like Teen Mom really interest me, but other things like Jersey Shore are one of the most pointless things ever created. Since most reality shows are like that in my opinion, I'll vote no.

I agree with sophie because I got some friend's that are teens and they have kid's also. But I vote yes because I like

Dog the bounty hunter
Police women
Border wars
and few others

I hate reality shows,my life sucks enough without having to watch another persons suck.

I do watch Dog the bounty hunter,Cops,Lockup,Deadliest roads,and stuff like that,but i consider that a Documentory type thing.

I hate them more often than not. They're just for people to get freaking happy for a few seconds about something that doesn't matter. If I wanna be on TV, I'll do something that matters. Not try out for something that gives nothing to society.

The ones that give something for our minds to chew on, I'll like, but those are rare, and normally, they get less attention. I wouldn't even classify them as reality shows, to be honest. Most of them are more documentary style.

Just like what the Ghost of Human Kindness said before abducting a child, "Do you see them on the news? No." Think about it. We get idiots who just wanna get a bit of money off their stupidity on most reality shows, and they sometimes get extremely famous. We get shows about the lives of those who use TV to show what overdoing anything can do to you. Remember that man who used to be the fattest man in the world? he taught us something that we never thought was possible. You can lose the weight if you ask for help.

Remember that boy who used to be the fattest teenager? He probably is getting close to good health again. Remember the man who was born with extremely thick skin?

All these people. These inspirational people should be who we give the money to. Not some kids or young adults who will give nothing to society. I gave Jersey Shore one view. I didn't give it a TV view, at least, but I sadly, gave it a view on a site that legally hosted uploads of MTV shows. The MTV site. One view isn't bad in theory, but it could lead to more of the loss of humanity's brains...

The people who gave us something to remember, and inspiration to those with the same issues, are long gone from the media. I don't blame them. Our media has become the place for stupidity.

One really good reality show I like is Wife Swap. It gives you something to think on. It makes one question, "What if I lived like that family?" It also shows us the ugly and the pretty. It doesn't just show one side. It is a show that teaches the families involved stuff, too. For example, a family that was gothic was taught that it was okay for their son to play football, and they found a new thing to make fun of.

If I'm watching TV, I prefer to watch fictional stuff. South Park, maybe some horror movie if it ever comes on, and stuff that is interesting, and Animal Planet for the non-fiction.

I know a teen mom. She actually was one of the people who started the bullying I got in 6th grade... I'd only let her on TV if it meant her being stupid in front of the world. I just savor every minute of someone like her getting made fun of.

I'm a jerk if you do me wrong, I know. Kinda developed that characteristic after the bullying I got...

I like them but only if they are real. I don't like the game show type those are usually really dumb. I will watch them if they are helping people or something like that.
