Do u think the CW has good programs?

I think CW is alright for what it is: a second rate station. I like their night time comedy block the best.

Not really, there's only a couple of shows on the network that I'll watch. I think the station was was better when it was the WB.

I agree, it was a lot better when it was just WB. Too bad they removed all the cartoons I used to watch when I got home from school. :'(

I do not much like the programs on the CW. They are all weird to me and I think that they are boring.

I used to like it when Legend of the Seeker was on. That show got cancelled and their Saturday morning cartoons are lame, so... no I don't like CW.

It's somewhat good. Most of the shows that come on CW are children programs.

I don't really care for the CW: it doesn't really have any good programs in my opinion.

It's just not the same. I miss when it had Kids WB and all that. I can't stand most of the channels like CBS, NBC, ABC, CW, etc.

I like it for the non adolescent TV shows, one's that are more for teenagers, and young adults. Cartoons aren't what they used to be... (Kids)WB was great.

CW... they change there name every few years. First it was WB, then UPN, then MyNetworkTV, now its CW. Good lord pick a name and stick with it.

I'm not going to vote because I'm completely in between. I think that they are o.k.

JonXMasterZZMan : Well I think the problem with brand names like “The CW” or “MYNetworkTV” is that their not legitimate networks but more or less a brand name that various independent television stations go behind. For instance where I’m from the CW affiliate is WPIX TV in New York.

WPIX is and has always been an independent station which usually airs a lot of syndicated programming and during Baseball season New York Mets games. (For decades WPIX was the flagship of the New York Yankees but in the late 90s. the Yankees switched to WWOR TV (The MY Network TV affiliate) and the Mets whom were on WWOR from their inception in the 60s switched to WPIX.)


Sorry if it seemed like I went on a bit of a rant there but the relevance of the history of these television stations are tied in with Baseball in a big way in New York.

These stations to my knowledge still air a majority of Syndicated programming (Talk shows, classic sitcoms, etc.) and with the exception of two hours a day (8PM to 10PM) there is no real Network providing programming. They also have their own versions of the late news which is not a universal thing for those stations going under “The CW” or “MYNetwork TV” brand name. Most stations go back to airing sitcoms at 10PM.

It is similar in the way that Fox conducts it’s schedule as they only go to 10PM but Fox has built into a super power of the Big 4 networks and actually own a great deal of their affiliates including WNYW TV in New York.


Where I live the CW is basically a Monday-Friday 8PM to 10PM type of schedule. The hours excluding those two hours are filled with syndicated programming mostly of the sitcom variety so I watch this channel regularly for the old sitcoms. In terms of what they air in the 8PM to 10PM hours I rarely watch during that period.


I am one who openly wishes sometimes that they would simply drop these brands and allow these great TV stations to be completely independent. I don’t know if it is because I grew up in the 80s and was able to gain a good appreciation for the independent television stations but I feel that without the brandings of a “Network” which really isn’t a network that these stations can continue the heritage of what makes them great and allows nostalgic people like me to look back fondly on what made me gravitate to those stations as a kid and how great those stations were.
