Hello folks, as you know I am still relatively new to Viz, but enjoying my time here a lot, praise be to the almighty, and the moderators for all their hard work and dedication.

There is, however, more here, I think, that we could be doing for the environment and I propose that we start a freecycle scheme on Vizzed.

I envisage that every member of Vizzed has an item that they no longer need and could put up for 'adoption', wouldn't it be great if everyone on this site posted something.

It works like this, we all have an item, be it old or new, that we do not want or use anymore and would be prepared to give away for free. This item may infact be something that another member would really need.

The first person to respond to the post gets the item and then proposes an item they too wish to give away for the next person to reply to.

For example:

member a: For offer: I have an old mobile that no longer works well, that might make a
good toy for a child or as a prop for a set.

member b: Taken: Mobile phone
For Offer: Jigsaw of The Golden Gate Bridge, 1 piece missing

member c: Taken: Jigsaw, would make a handy present for gramps.
For offer: Computer mouse, ball squeaks slightly.

Members will have to respond quickly to obtain any items offered and then offer their own.

You are allowed to take more than one item, remeber its who is quickest that gets it, but you will have to put up a new item for adoption.

p.s. This is only a simulation of Freecycle and no items have to be exchanged in real life, but who knows maybe one day Vizzed really could help to save the planet.

Offering: A case of apples, very ripe and if not used soon, will spoil. You could use them for smoothies or cut them up and freeze them. Also good for canning.

I'm offering: An Xbox 360 that occasionally displays "the red light" and will malfunction unless you unplug it after every use. Otherwise, it works fine. I'll include the two controllers I've got and a copy of NBA 2K9 so the person with the console can actually play it.
