I'm a big swimmer, but I've tried a lot of other sports, and have found that swimming gives me the best overall workout. I'll have to go with that. Tennis takes a close second.

I'm prolly gonna get a LOT of heat for this. But you know? Cross Country is. No timeouts. No substitutions. No waterbreaks. It's about you versus everybody else. And while it is a team sport, this one relies on EVERYONE running well together. In basketball, you can stick the one sucky player somewhere and just ignore him, and STILL have a chance to win. Not in Cross Country. That same sucky kid is constantly performing and having a chance to do better and better.

I used to be that sucky kid. And I improved. It works. I went from being the benchwarmer on most sports teams, to being a sucky runner to being one of the top in my high school league, and now, I'm in College (At a conference meet the other day I finished 17th ot of 59... woot!),

Cross Country constantly forces you to improve in a battle of you against yourself. And only the strong can be good for a long time.
