What Pokemon game should I start with and why? I have never played Pokemon before and there are so many to pick from I don't want to wast my time starting a game I wont like. I'd suggest starting with Pokemon Red or Pokemon silver.
There pretty old if you don't like them just try a GBA one.
Like Pokemon ruby or fire red.
Honestly you haven't played a Pokemon game?
Pokemon isn't as glorious as everyone says it is.
It's basically pictures fighting and some other stuff.
I admit Pokemon is a good game and worth playing.

I would say the original Red, Blue, and Yellow. You'll learn the basics and stuff like that, and then you'll learn everything you need to know if you decide to play Gold, Silver, and Crystal.

It's true that the shining classics of the pokemon series are the first generation games (Blue, Red and Yellow).
These games started it all. The fans, the terrible anime, and the huge number of sequels are all possible because of these gems.
However, newcomers to the series won't be as impressed. The main problem with these games is the graphics. The pixels will turn your pokemon into unrecognizable blobs and the content doesn't compare with the more current versions (Leaf Green and Fire Red). New gamers will appreciate these modernized remakes.
They contain a good balance between the newer direction that the series went and the basic art that makes the pokemon series what it is.

Play Fire Red. You'll be addicted.
