Seriously. I've been playing an actual guitar and forgot about Guitar Hero when I got my guitar. I tried Guitar Hero out just to see what has come of my skills. Guess what they are... Crap. I can slide down frets in an E minor or whatever it is barre chord, but I can't even play Number of the Beast on a plastic guitar. I could play freaking N.I.B. by Black Sabbath better than I can use a plastic guitar. I guess I should be classed with the musicians who are good on real guitars, but suck at using plastic guitar controllers.

So... Does the strings on a real guitar cause my suck meter to go up? Oh well. I like the real thing more, anyway. Besides, I wouldn't name it Kifos(Somali for death) if I hated it.

If Guitar Hero stays when I have grandkids, and I'm still playing the electric guitar, my grandkids are gonna freaking tell me I suck or should go back to playing my oldie moldie music from the 20th and first few decades of the 21st century on my stringed instrument. Heh. Whatever.

It was hilarious to see how bad I was on a metal song that I could learn with time. I only got to half of Number of the Beast. Attempted Take This Life by In Flames. (which, I wish I never let myself hear... Someone find the stuff from that band that was made when they were cool to most metalheads, please.) I sucked at that one, too. I was playing these songs on EASY!

Well it's not a big deal if you're not that good on Guitar Hero. It's just Guitar Hero after all. I mean, I don't really feel very accomplished for being pretty good at Guitar Hero lol.
The fact is though, they're very different things in reality. I mean, there's only a couple small similarities between real and plastic guitar playing lol.
I have heard that if you play real guitar for awhile and abandon playing GH for a while and then return to play GH, you'll suck at it. But, I've done that and I was still mostly the same in GH.
So, I guess where I stand is that I'm moderately good at both of them xD. I can play on Expert on GH, but I can't really even play the same songs in real life. I'm still working on that .

lol I've tried out a real guitar a couldn't do much with it, but I'm pretty decent at Guitar Hero. Along with mdynasty926, I can do expert mode, but I can't seem to get the guitar. I guess it's a combination of Guitar Hero and playing on the violin/viola, which have a very different feel than a guitar.

I actually never took much seriousness into Guitar Hero. Ever. Now guitar... I'm serious. I'm teaching myself currently, and will get lessons, as well. I often times don't even practice with a book. I find discovering the chords more fun. Guitar Hero helped get my fingers ready, but it now is just something I keep around for those who wish to play. I don't mind watching, say, my younger cousin play. He can play drums, maybe bass, can sing, and is teaching himself guitar along with being taught by his dad. It's good to have a fake guitar for a video game around so no one touches my guitar I named Kifos.

It may seem like I only have the game for keeping hands off my guitar, but I actually wanted the game for Christmas one year, and got it. I grew tired of a fake guitar when I got my Fender Squire. Haha.

I have better rhythm without a game, funnily enough. I'm not a fan of "rhythm" games due to this. They just simulate the idea that you can feel a beat. I'd rather just stick with Mother 3's use of rhythm and beats which is for making combos. Thanks.

I am a natural at guitar hero and I mean that I am really good and i have no Idea why. The game isnt very fun after you get to good at it.

I've got an easy one for you on GH3! Through the Fire and Flames.

Don't worry about it, I'm not good at Guitar Hero but I am good at playing the drums and singing on Rock Band! That's why I prefer RockBand over Guitar Hero

I was very good at Guitar Hero 3 once. Like I got a perfect on nearly every song (guess which songs I DIDN'T get a perfect on ), but I got bored and found other games to play. I just started playing it again. I'm not too shabby, but I definitely need some work again :/

the_casualty : Just keep on practicing and you'll be good. I used to say the same thing and now I can sing on Expert on both RockBand and Guitar Hero!

I would rather be able to play a real guitar honestly. Sadly, all I can do is play GH on hard mode (Except for that 7 minute song of torture and agony) and I have three of them perfected. Like I said. I would MUCH rather be good on a real guitar. Most girls would probably say the same thing I'm guessing. But it may be my male mind trying to make sense of the world.
