There are games out there that are So long you think to yourself "UGGH When Will This END!?!. So long you have to save 25 times before you make it to the end. So long you wonder if there IS an ending to the game.

What game do you think took FOREVER to beat?

The longest I've ever spent on a game is 150+ hours, and that was Final Fantasy Tactics:A2. I beat all the missions, collected most all of the items, and beat the optional bosses.

I'm a completionist. You probably don't want to know how long I've spent on Dark Cloud 2, trying to get all the weapons, but it's well past the_casualty's FFT:A2 time.

Of course, since I play games to entertain myself, I wouldn't consider it wasted time (others may choose to differ. )

Star wars KOTOR was really long but i think the longest ive played a game was Oblivion Elder scrolls two,i was 60 plus hours into the game and hardly scratched the surface and hadent even installed the two expantion packs for it.I still havent beat it either by the way.

For me it's Megaman Battle Network 5: Team Colonel. I collected every Standardchip, all of the Darkchips, most of the Megachips, and obtained the symbol in the start screen that indicates that I beat Bass. It took forever to get to that point, and someone accidentally wrote over my file. I was OK with that. Redoing those games gives you a different experience every time. Knowing more about it allows you to accomplish more in a shorter amount of time. I never did go beyond NebulaArea 6, though. There's supposed to be a way to pass through the other dark gate there.

I can't really think of a game that stands out as the longest for me, but a couple of games that took me a while would be Final Fantasy Tactics Advance & Digimon World 3.

Oh my word, I heard about that game before, but after I googled it, I had a better idea. I hope to never have to play that game. I recently remembered a game that took 200+ hours to complete through the result of forgetfulness.


I was playing Sonic Adventure 2: Battle on my GCN. I'd only gotten about halfway to 3/4's of the way through it when I really started concentrating on raising my chao. I'd completely forgotten to finish it. Even though I wasn't working on the game proper, it was still counting down the hours of play. When I finally remembered to finish it, I clocked in at 200+ hours. I think it may even have been close to 250. I can't remember exactly but at least I still have the memory card to prove it.
