Ok, I didn't really mean "rip-offs". I just want to know if any of the new Pokemon remind you of older Pokemon. I have a bunch of examples but here are a couple:
Gochiruzeru evolution line reminds me of Gardevoir evolution line.
Yanappu, Boappu, and Hiyappu (monkey pokemon) remind me of Aipoms.
Emonga makes me think of Pachirisu.
Do you agree with me on these? What other comparisons can you make? That's all I would like to ask...END
(Personally, 5th gen let me down)

I didn't think there were all that many pokemon clones, but I did notice the monkeys reminded me of Chimchar and Aipom, and that the Emonga looks like Pachirisu.

I did however think that Minezumi was kind of like Bidoof, and that the Dokkora evolutionary line was just a lame version of Machops.

C'mon, you didn't actually think they would all be new, did you? They completely threw out EVERY other Pokemon pre-National Dex. So, you're gonna have more Machop family knock-offs and Normal-Flying type and Normal families to encounter on the first route... besides, what were you expecting as inspiration for new Pokes?

yeah, I have to agree. See its just a problem they really couldn't avoid... You've got like 586 pokemon or so now, right? After a while some will look like others. I agree on the monkey one the most, it actually annoys me how much they remind me of Aipom.

I guess you guys are right. They were bound to end up making clones eventually. What really upset me is the lack of a new Eeveelution. I love Eevee!!! And I'm not saying I HATE the new Pokemon, I just really don't care for how similar they are to older ones. And I also think some of them are just kinda stupid looking like Torunerosu and the two just like it. Then there are the two Pokemon that looked like evolved forms but ended up not being evolved forms: Luvdisc don't evolve into Mamanbou and Tauros don't evolve into Baffuron. But I do admit that I'm excited for the US release.

They've made so many Pokemon that look like and are similar in stats to one another that it's not even funny. I feel that they're not coming up with many creative ideas anymore and are just going back on old successes.
