How do you train your Pokemon throughout the game? Do you train one Pokemon at a time...do you train a couple Pokemon at once, or do you train your team all evenly?

I personally like to train one or two Pokemon during the main story, and once they are strong, I will use them to help train other Pokemon with Exp.Share or switching out.

I train equally but at a different rate. For example, this morning, playing Sapphire, I evolved my Treecko, caught a wurmple, trained that into a level 15 beautifly, caught lotad, evolved it into lombre at 14, caught poochyena, evolved him into mightyena at 18, caught tailow, trained to 22, and evolved. Then, I just trained evenly. So within an hour, all my level 5 pokemon were now level 25 or above and evolved at least once!

I pretty much power level and grind my starter and a complimentary pokemon (Say Squirtle and something that is strong against what Squirtle is weak against, like say a Ponyta) and then I EXP share my weaker pokemon until they are worthy of battle.

i usually get my team of 6 ready as the game begins and train them equally around up to the 2nd badge and by that time i caught some of my favorites, i then take my 3 favorites and make them a few levels higher than my other pokemon, and save them for last resorts in combat, they are usually like 1 or 2 levels below my badge limit, so its a bit of a risk if i ever really have to rely on them.

I tend to try to train them all equally if I can though something I'll just train as I need them for gym battles. I tend to only use EXP share when I want to work on the Pokedex and don't really care about actually having a Pokemon do the fighting. Though back on Pokemon Yellow, I would use EXP all to train them all at once.

I usually neglect all of my pokemon (except the starter) until I'm about a third of the way though the game. I know I should train them equally but I don't.
I actually played Blue version without leveling up any pokemon other than my Blastoise until I beat the game. It was level 87 by the time I had to fight the elite four for the first time.
