The Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed were keynote creeds of the Christian community. These creeds are in response to the rising heresies at that time as a declaration of what Christians believe to fight against false beliefs.

These creeds are based back to the Bible. One of the problems that Christians might have is that Christians would go back to the creed instead of going back to the Bible for what the key beliefs are.

So here's an exercise: Here are the links to the creed statements:

Look through them and reference Bible verses to the statements. This exercise would strengthen what we really believe and that we can see where in the Bible does it actually state it.
