Okay for this one me and my fiance had to have some outside help. So we sat down with my friend Daniel and talked about it for about two hours.
Round 1: Chris Redfield vs. Solid Snake Winner: Solid Snake Round 2: Soma vs. Dante Winner: Dante Round 3: Sora vs. Samus Winner: Samus Round 4: Thrall vs. Terra Winner: Thrall Round 5: Link vs. Cloud Winner: Cloud Round 6: Solid Snake vs. Dante Winner: Dante Round 7: Samus vs. Thrall Winner: Thrall Round 8: Thrall vs. Cloud Winner: Thrall Final Round: Dante vs. Thrall Winner: Dante Okay now before someone decides to say 'Hey! You're favoring Devil May Cry characters!' We're not! It just happened to come out this way both times. I've never even played 'Devil May Cry'. My fiance and Daniel were the ones who told me about Dante's powers. Now I'm not sure who would win out of Dante and Virgil. Someone else can make a thread about that if they want to, but I'm not gonna give myself a headache trying to figure it out.

Now now, this is a bit wrong, Link would come into the last round against Solid Snake, who would then get pounded by Link.

alexanyways : I'm not trying to sound mean so don't take it that way, but why do you think Link would win? Is this based on his strength or how much you like him?
It was a very close fight between Link and Cloud. Their power and fighting skill were pretty much even. But Cloud came out on top because of his motivation. Cloud is motivated by a need to feel accepted and to feel he's done his best. Link kind of just does things because people tell him to. 'Link come rescue me!' 'Link take this sword!' 'Link go save Zelda!' He doesn't really have that much motivation so there's not much driving him. Cloud is driven, so he'd have the upper hand.

seeing as there's link on there and he saved princess zelda many times and saved hyrule,termina many times before and he uses many items and his master sword,masks would overpower many other heroes on there.

big fat cat : Yes it's true that Link has saved the world, saved a princess, and done many wonderful things. But right now, Thrall is holding the world together by himself. Terra saved the world from Kefka. Sora saved many worlds, not just one. What the characters have done isn't relevant. It's their power and their motivation to fight that is relevant. Link's power and skill are great, but his motivation is lacking. If you don't have decent motivation, you're not going to do your best in a fight.

XxChaosxX- As much as I like him, I think of his powers. He's got the 3 parts of the Triforce, Din's fire, Ryu's Rain (Force field) a bow, bombs, a really strong shield and a huge sword. He's really good with them all too.
And say Cloud was in some sort of rivalry with all Zelda characters, and Sepiroth took Zelda. That would be a motivation, but I see your point there.

Meh, I beg to differ about the Link thing. Now how you would know that Link lacks any motivation? You don't. Just because he doesn't talk doesn't mean he has no motivation 
... this is also why people are constantly whining about Samus' so-called "new personality". They just assume she has a certain personality when, in fact, when she finally gets a voice, it's a tad bit different than "silent killer" since she's never had a chance to talk!! lol. BUT... As much as I like metal gear solid, I would have to say that Dante would be the strongest hero. He is the son of a demon powerful enough to defeat mundus (a powerful demon lord) and his whole army single handed, and he inherited a lot of power from his father. Plus he is an expert fighter both hand to hand and with weapons.

billythekidmonster : That's not a valid statement as I can say that about anybody: "Mr. Saturn would own Link because he is all powerful and destroys everything!" see my point. Every character has a weakness whether you want to believe it or not, even Link, he's not invincible.
I believe Dante would win because he has a lot more power and speed than them all, being half demon and all, and he is extremely skilled in both long and short range battles.
