So, pretty much my whole life I've wished I had Final Fatnasy games to play, but never actually bothered to go out and buy them. Well, Crystal Chronicles kind of counts (amazing game, especially multiplayer, the GBA thing is annoying though.)

So I finally discovered you can find and play them online! woooooooot, anyway, I'm like level 15 in FF1 now, on a different site before I found Vizzed, but their site didn't have Final Fantasy Adventure, so I thought I'd try it here, this looks like a good place to play games. Yeah. Loooooooooove RPG games, kind of want Bioshock because it's supposedly a cross between RPG and FPS? Maybe.

Yea I love them too - always been my favorite style of game. I have been doing the beta testing for Final Fantasy XIV on the PC as a MMO and its pretty good.

I'm really looking forward to Fable next month to help me get some of my RPG needs fulfilled (though not sure if you would call it a full RPG game

The first bioshock is more FPS than RPG. It is an awesome game but doesn't have that much RPG qualities to it other than upgrading powers/weapons (no leveling up). I would try it out though if you're thinking about it... it has an amazing story and sucks you right in to the world.

My favorite RPG game is probably Golden Sun (1 and 2) For some reason I didn't find Chrono Trigger to be anywhere near as appealing, though my friend insists I'm nuts for it. Fable was pretty good, but kind of shorter than I was expecting.

Me too love rpg games. I think rpg games have been the love of my life ever since I discovered them. What I love about them is the leveling up, which sometimes it gets really boring but satisfying at last.

RPG games are awesome because you can play at your own pace. If a part is too hard, you can go back and grind until it's easier. If a part is too easy you can just go on to the next part. Of course, looooong grinds can get boring, the best sort of game (like Golden Sun) is one that has cool stuff like side quests and puzzles and stuff so that you're actually doing stuff while you're training. Also, pokemon was pretty cool because you got to choose how many pokemon you wanted to level up, so if you don't feel like grinding you can just use your highest levels, and if you want something new you can go catch new and rare pokemon you don't have yet and spend time training them.

Best Keep your concience as clean as you can, or charma will come with a blade in it's hand. It will strike all those who seek to gain without giving, and spare all of those who are weak and forgiving.

I wouldn't consider Legend of Zelda an RPG because you don't level up at all. I've been playing Final Fantasy Adventure, it's a lot like legend of zelda except you get experience points every time you kill an enemy and you level up and stuff. And in the sequel you have more than one person with you, so that'll be interesting.

masterwizard : RPGs don't have to have any kind of leveling system. Some RPGs actually take that aspect out, and use other ways of increasing stats. I don't know if this is known of in Western RPGs, but plenty of Japanese and Japanese style ones have done this. I don't know if the original tabletop RPGs had leveling, either. Leveling kinda isn't what I'd call the definitive feature of a game in order for it to be an RPG. I can't even define the genre, but the aspect of character stats is probably a big part of it. The second Legend of Zelda is the only one I can call an RPG since it had the elements.

The Genesis version of a classic tabletop RPG called Shadowrun lacked leveling, but was still an RPG.

Dragon Quest is good. I have Four for my DS and 8 for the PS2. I'm mostly into action RPGs, though. I'd rather think things up faster. Now if I have to choose my favorite turn-based RPGs, it has to be the first four Phantasy Star games. Those games are fun. Tried doing things like a guy in the 80's would do when traveling through dungeons in an RPG when I played the first Phantasy Star. It didn't go well. I like doing it, still. I did like the Lands of Lore games until I couldn't play them anymore due to fear of the bees in the games.
