Can somebody explain to me why MegaMan (or any spin-off/side character of MegaMan - ex. Roll, Zero, Harp Note, Rogue) has not yet been a character in a Super Smash Brothers game?

MegaMan's been a Nintendo MUST since it was released way back when. So why has every other Nintendo character BUT him been on Super Smash Brothers?

I don't know why, but I think he should have been in the SSB games from the start. Megaman always has been (and will be for many more years probably) extremely popular, so it's not like no one wanted to see him in the game. What really gets me is why they included Ness from Earthbound but not megaman, I mean how is Ness a big enough character to be in it but not megaman?

metal572 : Agreed, plus Ness isn't really a character you'd want to see on SSB anyway. He sucks at fighting in Brawl, so let's keep him in Earthbound and replace him for MegaMan!!!
