A lot of Newbies don't ever read their Private Messages, read announcements or even read their Notifications, possibly because they don't know where to find it or just don't think to do it. Well for all newbies, the icon we're familiar with is now a blinker . Hopefully this will increase the amount of people who check these pages which would also increase overall posting since people who introduce themselves will be more likely to see that their thread get a reply (because there's a lot that don't ever reply to their own newbie thread).

Not a very big update but that's what this forum is for, small updates that don't deserve an announcement and also a good way for me to keep track of what I've done.

So is this only in effect for newbies? None of my NEW icons are blinking.

Zeldisaster : As the title and post says, for newbies

I figured it'd be to annoying for anyone else so it's just for newbies.

"I figured it'd be to annoying for anyone else"
Yes, quite right, I know I would find it a tad irritating.
Good idea with having it there for newbies, not that I think it will make much of a difference for some of them
But those newbies cant be helped no matter what, so we wont talk about them

I think that's a good idea. People just starting out on Vizzed might find it pretty useful.

I had been wondering why my "new" thing had stopped flashing when I got a PM or notification...well, now I know.

Davideo7 : A little bit, but it wouldn't take long before I noticed that they were there, so it's not a big problem.

If newbies aren't paying any attention than I think this is a good idea. Although I don't know if I find that annoying if I had the blinker sign. I'd kind of prefer it that way so I notice things faster, but I already notice when I get something new.

Great idea, but just one question. With the 'New' bliking so small, won't newbies not really notice it at all, if they can't notice the 'notifications' and other toolbars?(or something like that)
