I personally prefer to go swimming in a pool. I kind of have a fear of the ocean because I am not the best at swimming and I have gotten what is known as under-toe, when the sand gives way under your feet and you are at risk of being carried out to sea.

I will better go to a swimming pool, simply because I like the tactics and techniques, the rolling, the pushing ..I just love the frame of the pool...it looks so beautiful I adore it.  I think I like ocean , but I need a very good intro to it and also experiences...
 And it is far predictable than in a vast open sea.....where you need a lot of precaution.

For me, it would have to be the Ocean. I'm not all that interested in swimming but some of the best times I've ever had have been swimming in a nice warm Ocean with moderately sized waves.

I said ocean because I have never been to a beach before (a huge drawback with living in Kansas). Marine biology is my favorite zone in biology, so I plan to go scuba diving (or at least snorkeling) sometime.

I'd rather go swimming in a crystal clear spring fed lake, my family and I kayaked and swam in one in New Hampshire and you could still see the bottom 30 feet from shore. I also prefer a lake because in a pool around where I live a person died and was found three days later at the bottom of the pool, the water was so cloudy that people didn't notice they were swimming with a dead person.

because of the sand and I could buy food or cotton candy when
the food guy comes by. But I really dislike the water at all beaches
especially if its dirty but hey if it has big waves than I'm in it for
the swim and splashes   I have to wash my hair as soon as I
