How to do you thank God.

To thank God I tell him thank at the beginning and ending of my prayers. I pray daily. I thank God for being in my life. I thank him for all the chances He's given me. I give Him all the glory for then people have commented to me about. He deserves the glory. We should thank at the least once a week, but who says you can't go overboard? Thank God today for what he has done for you.

thanking God in your prayers is all well and good.... I think you should do it everytime you pray. You can't be thankful enough through prayer.

However, if you are truly thankful to God for the life you have then you should be getting off your butt and serving his children in some capacity or another. All the talk in the world isn't going to improve the world around you. Getting up and doing something about the way things are is, in my opinion, one of the better ways to say thank you to God.

I understand completely what you're saying. I preach about God everyday at school. A few of my friends and I try to show some of the other students the righteous path. A think that all men and women should add God to thier daily conversation.

I thank God for changing the lifestyle I used to live into the one I now live which is according to Him. Well, I used to be a hardcore drug addict and was always in trouble with the law, but the Lord revealed Himself to me and changing my life.

I thank Him for opening my understanding to the Bible and try to spend time with Him daily in reading, asking Him to fellowship with me through His Word so that it’s not just an academic exercise. Also I believe that in worshiping Him is thanking Him.

The word worship comes from the word worth-ship, meaning, "to pay honor, or ascribe worth to someone who deserves it." To worship God is to give Him what is due to Him, which is thankfulness. Hebrews 13:15-16 gives us a good overview of the kind of worship that God desires:

Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

The fact of the matter is that we are thankful to the Lord through prayer, but He also desires us to be thankful to Him with our actions. Our prayers are but the outward manifestations of a life lived daily for the glory of God. It is a fact that every disciple is a believer but not every believer is a disciple. If we are truly thankful to the Lord we will devote our time and energy to serving Him; when we do that, our whole life worships.

I thank him in my prayers. Not always for a specific thing though.

Correct are the both of you. The Lord needs not a reason to be thanked. Just thanking Him for being who He is, is enough.

I try to read the bible as much as I can..I haven't been lately but that doesn't remove the unconditional love I have for him. I also give him praise by prayer....not only when Im in need but almost all the time. I thank GOD for life and wisdom...and his love for me and the world,
