Metal_25 : Maybe so, but this is "first" metal song, not strongest.
Anyways, I'll say maybe, only because I don't like metal music, and this isn't my favorite Beatles song, so it's a possibility. But The Beatles weren't really metal, but maybe this inspired the "Angry Music" with the whole Charles Manson thing. Very interesting, and definately a possibility. The Beatles also inspired a lot of different types of music, so it's possible. But it's not exactly certain. It's very complicated. XD I'm surprised I haven't found this thread yet, seeing as it was made almost a month ago. And I am obviously Vizzed's #1 Beatles Fan. =D

Robert7 : But the Beatles song isn't even heavy metal. It just isn't really that heavy. It has somewhat of an amount of heaviness, but that is only enough for it to be hard rock. The first band to play an actual heavy metal song was Black Sabbath and anything else before was just a slight prototype that would truly fall under hard rock, acid rock, classic rock, psychedelic rock, etc. And that song I linked was far from being the heaviest. |

alexanyways : Are you kidding me, of course it is. I think you are confusing the word "heavy" with "extreme". Neither the Beatles nor Black Sabbath song are extreme metal, though (although Black Sabbath's first three albums were the proto-type for doom metal). |
