I just finished 14 years of college with a masters and a doctorate.  I'd say I win, but there are no winners in that game.

I am in a one-year program. I might take another program in the future, but I can't see myself taking more than 5 years of post-highschool classes in total. I don't want to be a student for eternity. XD

I'm starting off with 2 years majoring in nursing. Then, I'm getting a job in that field to save up to go back for 2 more years.

Only until I get what I came for, but I'm guessing that I'll be in college... About four+ years.
Not like that's the only place I'll learn what I need to... *Points to the Internet* Good ol' never-lied-or-made-up-nonsense Internet.

Computer programming (or whatever the term is) and the medical profession... What a way to start.
Should be worth it though, I'll never be out of a job if I get those qualification's. I can rest easy knowing I can support my family.

I already did one year of college so far and it was okay at best. I'm ready to be done with school completely now so I would say I have at the most 3 to for more years left.

I did three months at Boston University before I dropped out. Campus life is way too crazy and overrated.
I was majoring in philosophy and writing.  I was young and the root of all things for me was alcohol and drug addiction so I was never on my A game and I lacked the ability to focus in classes, especially with all the boring hippies in Philosophy who misunderstood the classes.
Then in writing, I could never complete any of the writing assignments on time.  I was procrastinating way too much back in my younger days.
So I just left and found Culinary to be more appealing.  Which I later would regret. I got kicked out because I was dealing on campus.
Such a pity, I had a lot of colleges and trade schools asking me to join and apply to their schools but I pissed it all away.

With little success , I joined the Air Force and applied myself for "Jump School" where you learn to jump out of planes, and sky dive, which was really stupid and silly of me.  I finished all my pre-exam routines and finally the tests were coming up, I decided I'd hang out with a bunch of fat chicks at the local pub around base, but I met a drug dealer who was setting this other trainee up with some steroids which I wanted some of as well, and that I would regret for the rest of my life.  I had no clue they tested for that on the day of the exam, what the heck? Like really?

I throw my load of papers on the table to my commando officer then head out and these two doctors or male nurses asked me to give them a urine sample and lo and behold, it showed up positive.  Completely foolish and again, careless, I was kicked out.
They asked me to join infantry but I always thought men with guns were sissies.  Unless it's like Call of Duty.
Anyway, after all said and done, I just served a year in prison and now I do hotel security for work.
I don't plan or intend on going back to school.  I make 18 dollars an hour, and I work over time with double pay.
It's definitely enough to make it out in the real world, providing for my family.

Unlike me, I preach because I know what a terrible mistake I made.
If I could, I would have tried with my best effort to stay in school and earn a better education and get a degree and a better job.
But now, it's too late in my life with my many complications to reward myself with college and the luxury of learning.
Those of you who are still in school, I envy you.
Don't take it for granted like I did.
Learn all you can and some day it'll be your turn to teach others.

Wow!  So many of you have such impressive goals!  Keep at them!

I myself did six years of courses.  However, the way I did that was a bit strange.  I completed my bachelor's in math in about two years because I was a part of several advanced program and basically took nothing but math.  Then after that, I wanted to start teaching right away.  I wasn't allowed to teach without another degree, so I got a special certification which allowed me to teach while getting that degree.  That degree -should- have taken one year, but it took me three simply because I was teaching at the same time, and I could only take one or two classes per semester.

Thus, I got my four year degree in two years, and my 1 year master's degree in 3 years.  Six years' worth of courses in five years?  Not too shabby I suppose!  It allowed me to start teaching at the age of 20 anyways!

I had wanted to get my Ph.D, but after seeing those graduate math classes...?!  Ooooh boy!  I was about done at that time!

Love my job though, and I've never regretted it!

I took two years, had to drop out because of money and family issues, went back for another year that was technically a rehash of the other two years, then decided I was done and wasn't going to finish. Don't be like me, kids. Stay in school. Finish it.

Well since my parents are making me go to a community college for two years, I will do that to get my associates degree. They only do this because it's cheaper. After that I will go to a four year college to get my bachelor's and master's degree. I kind of shy away from a doctorates degree because they have to write a long paper to get their degree.

I'm currently in the first semester of my sophomore year, although it's only my second semester going full time; I got 15 hours while I was in high school, and they all even took care of general education requirements, which is nice. So I plan to get at least the equivalent of fours years, however many year that actually takes depending on my course-load.

As for anything beyond that, I'm still considering going for a master's in English (my major), but I'm not entirely sold on the prospect. It really depends on where I'm at in life by the time I have my bachelor's, I guess.
